Beautiful hotel on Notre Dame campus. The staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. It looks like the entire place has been recently redone. Large rooms and very comfortable beds. They could improve in the restaurant by having more icecream flavors for dessert or perhaps having staff members fully versed in offerings. The formal dining room was very knowledgable but the casual/bar area staff we encountered seemed a little less interested in making the guest happy. We did not try any entrees so we can't critique them but they have a nice menu. Room service was very good. Pancakes weren't warm enough and they quickly replaced them. Fast dinner service and punctual, fast breakfast with delicious food. Again, very friendly service. Sundries like tylenol and advil for purchase at the front desk after the shop closes would be nice as we had a nighttime emergency with my teenager, but we easily found a nearby drug store. Housekeeping does a tremendous job, valet and bell service are terrific. This hotel is a real gem ( on the Historic Hotels of America list!) and so are the staff members. We can't wait to...

my wife and i happened to get spontaneous this weekend and headed towards michigan where we stayed the previous weekend we ended up in South Bend Indiana at NotreDame college after a little site seeing she wanted to grab some pictures of the cathedral and basilica we turned around in the driveway of the Morris Inn i ran in real quick to check on room rates Shane found us a great deal on a king suite we got valet parking for an extra twenty dollars well worth the money we stayed on sunday night july twelfth 2015 we happened to meet a couple joe and rose marie they invited us to mass that evening we lit candles and sang along with the other people who attended the service went back to the hotel ate dinner at Rohrs the best polish food i have eaten in sometime the whole evening was one of spontaneity and warm memories my wife and i will cherish forever we look forward to staying here again thanx to Shane and Matt Josh and Parfait for the great service they provided i could go on and on stay there and see for yourself ask for room 425 great view of the cathedral...
