First of all, I came earlier in the year for a free trial and had no problem getting in because I was 17 but my friend was older than 18. The guy was nice and he said that my friend was responsible for me if I get hurt. Then I came back again for the 7 day trial 4 months later and they told me I couldn’t get in because I needed to be 18 and older even though I had the same exact friend who brought me 4 months ago. They told me if I can bring a legal guardian with me at 24 hour fitness later on that day and that was already inconvenient for me because my mom has to watch the kids and my grandma suffers from arthritis so she cannot walk that far. We also live very far from the 24 hour gym. But I decided to bring my grandma anyways so we drove right back to my house to pick her up and come back to check in. Later on, I had to wait again by the computers because no assistant in charge for the free pass was coming up to us even when the employee called them in. I was finally accompanied by someone after waiting a long time and took me to another office where they all the other employees were hanging out doing nothing which I wonder why I had to wait a long time at the check in table. He then ask me if I did come in before for a free trial since my name was on their list. I said yes and suddenly I saw his body expression being so negative like his head was shaking from left to right very slowly but I could notice and his frown. Then he told me I needed a guardian to sign me off and I told him my grandma is in the gym and that I came here earlier for that cause. Then he said that my grandma has to be here to sign me off so I repeated again that she is here at the gym sitting down on the chair as if he never hear me. So we walked to where my grandma was sitting and told me that either my mom or dad has to be here to sign it and that my grandma wasn’t allowed. He even asked my grandma if she was my guardian and she said yes and still after that told me I cannot because I got to have my mom or dad with me. My grandma always signs my legal guardian papers for school. This was a total waste of my time driving back and forth and getting my grandma come in who is disabled and then telling us I cannot workout. Embarrassing to my friend considering he was willing to drive back to pick her up then drop us off. We didn’t have to go through this struggle earlier but it seems that that specific guy (does he even lift bro, slight out of shape) wouldn’t allow us in. I had gym memberships before like at YMCA and also the free pass earlier I mention before and I never had to gone through that enormous of a struggle...
Read moreGreat gym that's clean, has lots of equipment and a variety of choices from weights, basketball and a pool and spa area. I joined mostly for the steam room and sauna for recovery and relaxation. This area turned out to be a huge disappointment and the furthest thing from a place to recover and relax. The entire area is tiled floors and walls and creates an acoustic nightmare. The club allows guests to play their music, podcasts, ect with no headphones on or regard for how loud their playing it. 430AM you'll have a guy sitting in the hottub blasting his radical political podcasts that reverberate around the entire complex bouncing off the walls of the steam room with no way of escaping this noise. Then another guest who doesn't like that podcast decides to blare their music to drown out that noise. Now nobody can hear and everyone in that area must shout at each other when talking. But you're forced to listen to these competing noise's bounce off the walls attacking your senses. Maybe you'll try later in the day, but you'll find a person swimming laps with earplugs in but still blaring their music for everyone else to hear even though they can't hear it because they're swimming. If you enjoy being forced to listen to radical podcasts and other people's music in a echoplex while you're trying to relax then this might be the gym for you. However talking to the members down there who don't blare their music they're sick of it and dont understand why they're being forced to deal with this. Why doesnt this club moniter what's being played in their spa area? Why do they allow blasting political podcasts at 4am in the morning echoing of the walls? Please for the love of God get a no open music policy in the spa for...
Read moreGiving it 3 stars. -1 one star because once we got in the guys in the front seems so clumsy and didn’t really care that we wanted to see how much the memberships are... took forever for someone to come and help us, once helped the girl Alyssa seemed new and didn’t really look like she was fit for the position either that or she sounded like a robot trying to go over her script from training which was so slow. We’ve also told her that we’re in a rush since we was waiting to be called at BWW and didn’t want a tour. She then forced us to go on the tour so we just go with it since we thought it was going to be fast but she seemed so damn lost and just asking us nonsense and countless questions trying to lead us and my gf to get a trainer in which we’ve told her again that we was in a rush and just wanted to pay for the membership and not get a trainer and worry about apps and other things. Another -1 star while being in the back signing our lives away in which we could go to other gyms to sign up.. workers in the back were very rude being loud and obnoxious especially with other customers. Very unprofessional knowing there is new members trying to sign up sitting next to there rude conversation with others! Gave it 3 stars because 24 hour fitness is the only damn gym in the damn island that works around our schedule and how they just opened a new place near our home in kapolei and only gym with sauna, steam, pool and a jacuzzi also a gym that gives out towels and has showers. But please improve in customer service it’s not that hard! Probably would’ve got me sold with a trainer anyways wished the location in Kapolei is bigger but...
