L & G Local Food — Restaurant in Hawaii

We only stopped by for a quick spam musubi to hold us over until we met up with some friends but I will say it was a tasty spam musubi. The rice was really good. Usual sticky type but I felt like they gave more than other places but not too much. They added just the right amount of sauce and I looked how cooked the spam was.

Something else I'd like to point out is their breakfast menu. Their pricing for both breakfast and their bowls were really good. Pricing for regular and mini size plates were on par with place like L & L, etc.

Service was quick and friendly. The food hall/food court type place where they are located offers quite a nice variety of eateries. Plenty of parking in the shared but large parking lot. Shared, food court style seating with both indoors and...

Wow... I have eaten here twice in the past week and I will never ever eat here again and I will tell people do not go to this place. On both occasions I ordered the Chicken Katsu & Pork Adobo plate and both times I never received any sauce. When I inquired about the sauce they told me it would cost $ 1.00 more.. What place does this?

Everywhere else that you get a Katsu Plate at gives Katsu sauce at no additional charges.

I guess Pearl Highlands likes to keep the bad cooks in the kitchen or in this case food court as long as they pay the high mall rents.. Well trust me when I say "No more eating at L & G...

Besides their food wasn't that great - it had lots of fat and very little...

Got the meat jun ..sesame chicken ..1st time buy here..fast nice people..chicken perfect or near perfect..meat jun is the disappointment.

As a chef I suspect bad cut of meat..&/or..low amount of seasoning..&/or old meat…I mostly suspect the 1st 2 together but only the cooks know. It has/had a egg, flower and maybe some seasoning to it but that’s it.

I may return but seems my meat jun restaurant search is still on. 😂
