Update: Another RPM cancelation, that makes four cancelations in two months. There are other qualified instructors who would jump at the opportunity to teach this class and who are committed to the membership and would show up at every class. Housekeeping is still not a priority.
Tonight's Cycle class @ Mililani was canceled again, however, the app showed the class was still scheduled. At approximately 0607 pm, some of the members started to position their bikes and that's when the manager came rushing in to announce that the Cycle class was canceled. she said she failed to update the app and that she tried to find a replacement, but was unsuccessful. One of members told her that they heard thru the grapevine that the class was canceled and that they were just setting up their bikes because they wanted to practice. The managers respond with, "OK, that's weird." I thought her comment was completely unprofessional, judgemental and offensive. If someone wants to practice Cycle they shod have the right to do with being judged and criticized. This was the third incident that the Cycle class was canceled at Mililani. The instructor only started teaching this class Thurday, 08/07. She's canceled over 30% of her classes since she started. It's obvious that the instructor does not take her job seriously and does not feel accountable for her attendance. The manager should have hired someone who was dedicated and who really wanted teach the membership the techniques of RPM, versus hiring a "friend". This obviously shows poor judgement on the managers part, both in her comment to the members and her selection process.
Additionally, the manager has no sense of ownership and pride in her gym. A good manager would walk the gym floor to ensure the areas were safe and hazard free and not allow incidents like, letting the raisers to be stacked almost to the ceiling causing a hazardous condition and could essentially fall on a member causing severe harm.
The floors are filthy and the dumbbell storage bins are disgusting and fill of bit & pieces for silicone that came off the dumbbells
No mats in the GX room, weight plates are in extremely poor condition (chunks of the outside rubber coating missing), not even weights plates, weight bars are bent and severly rusted (potential health hazard), steps are severely warped and top rubber grip are damaged. the exercise bike should not be in the same space as the GX classes. It's a tripping hazard because it constricts the space during classes. People have accidentally stepped on the bike stand during class. this is the only gym that has bikes in the same room as the GX classes. It should be moved into the vacant old kids club area. The wall in the GX room should have been removed during last reno. The space when the equipment and steps are stored is too narrow and is a hazard. People are constantly bumping into each other to grab and put equipment away, it's a really safety hazard. Add more paper towel dispenser. The paper towels are constantly running out and there no staff to refill them. Put numbers on each dispenser so the staff will know exactly which and where the empty dispenser is located...

I originally rated this gym 5 stars, but after recent experiences, I feel compelled to change my rating to 1 star. I’ve been a member here for over four years and never had an issue until recently. Unfortunately, the facility has declined significantly, and it’s no longer the welcoming or well-maintained gym it once was.
Of all the 24 Hour Fitness locations on the island, this one has become the worst maintained. The cleanliness is unacceptable — the restroom toilets often leak or don’t flush properly, the shower drains are clogged, and parts of the bathroom floor appear moldy. The mirrors remain smudged for weeks, and at one point, I even noticed false eyelashes stuck to a mirror for several days. It’s unsanitary and disappointing.
The gym equipment is also in poor condition. Many machines are outdated, malfunctioning, or simply unsafe to use. I’ve actually stopped lifting weights here because I no longer feel confident in the reliability of their equipment.
The only reason I continue to visit this location is for one Zumba instructor, who is truly exceptional and one of the best on the island. Her class is the only redeeming factor of this facility. However, even that experience is being compromised by ongoing maintenance and air-conditioning issues. The Group Exercise (GX) room is unbearably hot — the AC hasn’t worked properly for months, and the windows regularly fog up from the heat. It feels more like a sauna than a workout room. Despite repeated complaints from multiple members, staff continue to offer excuses rather than solutions, and there has been no clear communication or timeline for when the issue will be resolved.
What’s most frustrating is the lack of professionalism and care from management. The new GM, in particular, has been dismissive and unapproachable when members express concerns. It’s disheartening to see how much this gym has deteriorated under the current leadership. This facility desperately needs attention — from maintenance and cleanliness to staff training and management accountability. As paying members, we...
Read moreI’m beyond disappointed and honestly mad about how far this gym has fallen. As a paying member, I no longer feel welcome here. Ever since the new GM started, the atmosphere has completely changed — the staff’s attitude feels fake, forced, and uninviting. It’s clear that member experience is no longer a priority. We’ve voiced our concerns multiple times, but nothing changes, and it feels like our feedback is being ignored.
What makes this especially frustrating is that I finally found a class and Zumba instructor that reignited my motivation to come to the gym. The class reminded me of the group workouts I used to love on the mainland. I even drive in from town, often sitting through (sometimes an hour of) traffic, just to attend because it was that good.
Now classes are being cut short even though they’re listed as 60 minutes. It’s unacceptable to spend more time commuting than actually working out. On top of that, the GX room is unbearably hot that people are nearly slipping on their own sweat. The mirrors are dirty, there’s hair buildup on the floors and in the showers, and the water filter has been red for weeks. It’s unsanitary, disgusting and unsafe.
It’s a real shame because the instructor I come for is amazing — the only reason I’ve continued to show up and tolerate this gym. I know I am not alone as she has a huge following all over the island who travel for her class. She is enough to make up for poor customer service, lack of professionalism, rude staff, and an unclean, poorly maintained facility but how much more can we take?
I expected better. Members...
