We saw dozens of see turtles. If we want some shots on sea turtles this is the spot. The waves are quite big. If you go to the right of the beach there's plenty of shade and some spot for snorkeling. The snorkeling is not that good but you get the chance to swim with sea turtles. This is the beach my kids enjoyed the most. We spent the whole afternoon after visiting the Doyle Plantation. Read moreGreat beach, sand is nice, the bathroom is close by, there is good quality showers. I love it when the sand doesn't feel like pebbles and it is not super fine like powder.
The reef is a bit close to shore which might be a deal breaker, but it can be good for snorkeling. There are Tide pools, but they're on super sharp and rocky area. Wear slippers, water shoes, something to protect your feet.

Read moreGood to stop by and admire the ocean however, I wouldn't go swimming here. The beach was dirty and busy with a few groups playing music way too loud! Who comes to Hawaii to listen to pop on the beach? I want to hear the waves crashing against the shore!!
It has the waves of the north shore however none of the very blue water found elsewhere of the island.
I drove over hearing that we could see sea turtles on the beach but no luck :/ maybe a different time...
