Haleiwa Beach Park is undeniably a beautiful spot, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The park itself is well-maintained, with a large open area, nice walking paths, and a great place to relax by the water.

However, we did feel a bit uncomfortable during our visit. There were a number of homeless individuals in the area, and some were quite aggressive, which made us feel uneasy at times. While we understand that this is a concern in many urban parks, I would suggest that tourists exercise caution when visiting, especially if traveling with family or small children.

While the park itself is beautiful, it might not be the most comfortable or safe place for everyone, depending on the time of day and your comfort level with such situations. We recommend being aware of your surroundings and possibly visiting during busier hours if you...

Located just north of Haleiwa Town, this beach transforms into a popular surfing destination during the winter months, attracting surfers from around the world. Outside of the winter season, however, it becomes a favorite spot for families due to its calmer waters and more accessible parking compared to nearby Waimea Bay Beach.

In the North Shore area, Laniakea Beach is known for turtle watching, but it often attracts large crowds, making parking a challenge. However, if you head west along the beach toward Alii Beach, you'll discover a more secluded area where turtles can often be seen sunbathing. This hidden spot offers a peaceful and less crowded alternative to busy Laniakea Beach, perfect for those who want to enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife of the North Shore without the...

Snobby, rude, and self absorbed discriminatory people here I’m sure not not All of them but the few bad apples make this slice of pie tasteless by the way if you frequent any area because you paid a lot of taxes and money to live here doesn’t make you own anything but corrupt stolen land you are the problem here because you can’t seem to get outside or over yourself. Wake up people you aren’t the only ones in this world. Find some healing in your life so that you may have space to give compassion to others instead of mirroring how your own inner critic treats yourself and others. The way you react with others is a reflection of how you treat...

Beautiful park, and a great place to go snorkeling if you are a stronger swimmer. There's a lot of coral here, but not a lot of people - and Honu (green sea turtles) swim in the protected waters near the rocky part of the shore. The waves can be a little choppy, though - and you need to beware of stronger currents than more protected areas, like Hanauma Bay. There's a lot of good surfing along this beach as well, and tons of pretty birds. Great place to spend an afternoon in or out of the water!

Park itself is great for families, lifeguard station manned during business hours, surf spot is world class. Area to the west of park has calm waters, good for kids. Bathrooms are disgusting, but what do you expect. Bring toilet paper. Homeless tend to squat in them doing drugs, be aware. Parking can get full on weekends or big swells, overflow is at boat harbor adjacent to park. Ground can be muddy at overflow, so bringing/having water to rinse your slippers is helpful after walking to your car.
