We were body boarding and suddenly saw a a sandbar shark 5 ft away! We swam away quickly and everyone ran out. But sharks don’t usually attack humans so we just chilled and went back in. There were also a lot of dying baby box jellyfish washing up to the shore. They say a lot show up the 7 days after a full moon so maybe this is why. But my bets are on ocean pollution. One of them wrapped around my dads entire leg and stung him pretty badly. So maybe bring white vinegar, baking soda, and hydrocortisone cream for first aid.

I spotted one jellyfish floating on top of the water but that’s it. We spent quite a bit of time there when taking a break from the bigger wave spots and never got stung.
