Lāʻie Shopping Center — Local services in Oʻahu

It has a usps office, subway, some local restaurants, a local ice cream place, a food/grocery story, gas station and ample parking (but narrow spaces). Bus also stops here. The restaurants don't have public restrooms BUT there is a well maintained common restroom in the middle of the shopping center.

Seven burgers (good food), Hawaiian bbq (affordable food) and Ice cream place were all worth the visit.

A quirky thing: there is a working payphone in this strip mall. Totally worth...

Everything is fairly expensive because it's your only option in La'ie. The people are so, so nice though! I only wish it were a little more bike friendly. No places to lock up your bikes and you have to get off and walk bikes on any of the walkways, which makes sense but is still annoying since the parking lot isn't particularly safe to ride through and there's no other option for bikes. I wish there were a good bike path all the way along Kamehameha...

This shopping center is anchored by a Foodland. There are also a number of good local stores or national chains plus a gas station. There is also a Subway and excellent Ice Cream and Shaved Ice store.

Be aware that this center is closed on Sundays. Many residents of the town of Laie are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and consider Sunday a Sabbath. So most stores and restaurants are closed on Sundays on this side...
