If you’re exploring the North Shore of Oahu, a stop at the local macadamia nut company is a must! This small, family-owned business offers a delightful experience for both tourists and locals alike.

Location & Atmosphere: The company is nestled in a picturesque setting, surrounded by lush greenery. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back, giving you a true taste of island life. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, eager to share the history of macadamia nut farming and the unique aspects of their products.

Product Selection: The variety of macadamia nuts available is impressive. From classic salted and unsalted varieties to more adventurous flavors like honey roasted and garlic, there’s something for every palate. They also offer a range of macadamia nut products, including oils, butters, and chocolates. You can sample most of the products before purchasing, which is a nice touch.

Quality & Pricing: The quality of the macadamia nuts is top-notch—fresh, crunchy, and full of flavor. They also offer free tastings of their macadamia nuts and coffee, both of which are amazing. While the products are a bit on the expensive side, the quality justifies the price. Plus, it’s always nice to support local businesses.

Fresh Fruits & Shaved Ice: The fresh fruits served here are excellent, bursting with tropical flavors. The shaved ice is another highlight—perfectly refreshing on a warm day. The girl at the shaved ice counter is a sweetheart, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Gift Shop: In addition to macadamia nuts, the gift shop offers a range of local Hawaiian products, including coffees, jams, and crafts. The shop is well-stocked, and it’s easy to find something special to take home as a souvenir.

Parking: One of the best things about this location is the ample free parking available, making it easy to stop by without the stress of finding a spot.

Overall: The macadamia nut company on the North Shore is a great place to visit if you’re in the area. Whether you’re stocking up on snacks for the road, enjoying some fresh fruits and shaved ice, or looking for unique gifts to take home, this spot has you covered. The quality of the products, the friendly service, and the free tastings make it worth the visit, even if the prices are a bit steep. It’s a perfect stop to add to your North...

So 2 years ago I was on a tour to Northshore Macadamia Nut and had a great time with the history and the kindness from this certain lady. Told us how the locals needed supported bc the big millionaires was trying to change the island and the culture. I didn't get her name but she was so kind and gentle that she made an impression on me.

So now in 2025 me and my wife rented a car this time for Hawai'i instead and toured the island ourselves and we went back to Northshore Macadamia and ask if that lady still worked here. She was so sweet! They said yes and went in the back to go get her. She still the sweetest person. Greeted us with a hug and just as 2 yrs ago talked to us like we're family!

U know there's something special about an individual and their spirit when a stranger (me) from 2 yrs ago wanted to see her and greet her. So this wonderful lady name is Iwalani! What a blessing she is! Blessings to her and her family! Support the locals!

The coffee is really smooth and the nuts come in a variety of flavors. We bought the garlic onion, cinnamon, caramel, and coffee flavors. And if nothing else come meet this sweet...

There are a few really great options here to buy. I enjoyed the caramel macadamia nuts..a lot... Staff are friendly and there was a brief educational moment on macadamia nuts. The farm life, chicken and the pig were a fun factor for the kids most definitely. I would say from a business aspect they are under doing it if anything. Very little visible signage from the road, we almost drive right by, tiny sign. The shop is almost like an old fashioned farm house shack with a big front porch. Very nastalgic. They appear to put everything out every morning, then take it all back in every evening. There selection has some fantastic options, I believe all local. But it is somewhat limited. I could imagine this place boosting their business if they had a few more options. A larger shopping area with more variety would be ideal. The product is so good that I could imagine a larger store of similar products focused around macadamia nuts would be awesome. T-shirts and other paraphernalia about nuts, I can think of some puns.. etc. Definitely...

North Shore Macadamia Nut Company is one of the many recommended tourist spots in Ohau, and is usually incorporated into many of the “Island Circle Tours” offered on the island. It’s a cute, rustic, open-air shop with the most variety of macadamia nut flavors that I’ve come across on the island, and offers samples of every flavour to try!  In addition to macadamia nuts, they also sell coffee, and gift items such as small jewelry, art, body care, and pantry goods. The Caramel flavour was my favourite, and I regret not buying more while I was here since I didn't see this flavour offered anywhere else. The staff here were friendly, and let you browse and try the different flavours at your leisure. There’s also a free parking lot out front. Macadamia Nut Flavours: • Caramel Roasted • Honey • Cinnamon • Coconut Roasted • Coffee Roasted • Garlic Maui Onion • Roasted and Salted • Roasted and Unsalted
