I can't begin to express my gratitude for the exceptional service provided by Denise at Makua Banana Bread. My experience was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to her kindness, understanding, and unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. Despite arriving two minutes past closing time, Denise greeted us with a warm smile and welcomed us inside without hesitation. Her willingness to accommodate us, even after a long day's work, truly exemplifies the epitome of outstanding customer service. Not only did Denise graciously allow us to make our purchase, but she also went above and beyond to ensure that we felt valued and appreciated as customers. Her professionalism, coupled with her genuine concern for our experience, left an unforgettable impression on us. Moreover, the quality of the banana bread at Makua Banana Bread speaks volumes about Denise's commitment to excellence. Each bite was a symphony of flavor, a testament to the craftsmanship and care put into every loaf. Overall, my visit to Makua Banana Bread was made truly memorable by Denise's exceptional service. This is the best banana bread I have ever had in my life. Seriously the mochi flavor has my heart forevermore. The first time my tastebuds experienced this combination I nearly had to take a moment to sit down and process the killer party that just went down in my mouth. I don’t know if you have ever had a temper pedic pillow that conforms to your head like Michael Jackson’s Tailor fitted glove , but that is how I can best describe what it feels like to ingest this Mochi banana bread. Now let’s talk about the very immaculate vibes that this place and it’s employees give off- I never have felt such a warm and welcoming presence as when I rode my moped upon the gravel in front of the beautiful banana van. The lovely facilitator at the shack helped my navigate me through the trek of finding the perfect loaf for my personal preference. I am thrilled and utterly ruined for any other bread of Banana that is not from Makua. I am a better person because of this place. And long live the Mochi Bread that will live rent free in my dreams each day I am away from...

This banana bread.

My wife is a TikTok devotee- so naturally we only eat at the places she sees and approves of on there because in her words she is a “visual person.”

And of all the other gimmicky, influencer based, and inflated eating experiences I’ve been forced to have this week-

This one was the one that I was like okay, yes. Finally her TikTok crystal ball delivered us onto something truly amazing that was down to earth and beautiful.

This banana bread made me want to be one of those people that always has the old bananas in their freezer. This banana bread made me want to start watching food network and take notes on baking. This banana bread is gonna be one of those breads that when I eat any other banana bread- I’m gonna be like “man… it still wasn’t as good as that one time I was in Hawaii on the North Shore.”

This banana bread. Of all the things we’ve “had to try” this week as I’ve had TikTok after TikTok video shoved in my face- this is the one that I will remember for years to come with a tear silently falling down my...

My husband and I happened to walk by this stand and the employee (maybe owner) of the day was telling us about the products and it sounded amazing. She told us how the mochi banana bread has mochi baked in (so there is no little mochi bits BUT it maintains the moisture in the best way). We bought that one and the original. The packaging is SUPER cute AND functional where it has bend ties at the end of the cute brown paper bag so you can preserve the banana bread if you don’t finish it all. The original tastes good but not as good as the mochi banana bread. I have never had banana bread that retained moisture like that (and we ate some/finished it the next day and it still was just as moist). I highly recommend this place!! Also, I personally am not a fan of banana bread with nuts in it so I extra loved this place!! :0) Parking could be found in their tiny parking lot to the side or on the street.

A Must-Visit for desserts and Banana Bread Lovers! Makua Banana Now was one of the absolute highlights of my trip! I still can’t get over how unbelievably good the banana bread was. My family loved it so much, we went back twice—we just couldn’t believe how fresh and delicious it was! Honestly, I was a little skeptical at first, thinking it might just be a cute Instagram-worthy spot on the North Shore. But no, it exceeded all expectations! The banana bread is incredibly moist, perfectly sweet, and packed with flavor—it truly stands out.The vibe of the place is super laid-back and welcoming, and it’s such a unique spot to grab a snack or treat while enjoying the North Shore’s beauty. We couldn’t get enough and I’d definitely recommend stopping by. You won’t regret it, and you’ll likely find yourself coming back for more! 1 banana bread is 13$
