I been coming here for years but have never tried to buy lumber. I called ahead and asked if they would cut it for a fee and they said they would and the timber was in the back. As walked over I noticed two green stop signs near the forklifts so I stayed away from there and walked over to where I saw the wood. After maybe five minutes a man on a forklift swung around and got pretty close to the point I had to move. He then says “hey can you read” I didn’t think he was taking to me, then he said “your eyes not open”. Again I didn’t say anything I was shocked so I tend to ignore this kind of behavior he was extremely rude. Then he said there are two stop signs and then something about where I parked my car. He then picks up a metal object in his forklift that was maybe a foot away from me, swung it around where I had to move or else he would have hit me and starts muttering something under his breath. I realize now this guy is being serious and he tried to hurt me. I told him he almost hit me, and he says well I shouldn’t be there so we started arguing. I told him that I followed the signs I stayed away from that area and didn’t know what he was talking about and that he tried to assault me while in a fork lift. I spoke with a manager and she apologize meanwhile the man gets out of the fork lift walks over to the stop sign and starts pointing sarcastically, I couldn’t believe it he is doing this in front of his manager, the disrespect is real. I get I am not some big shot contractor I usually just get pellets for my Traeger here maybe some paint or screws I try to support my locals hardware store when I can. I won’t be coming back the lack of safety the terrible customer service is really something else. If the owner sees this review I invite you to watch footage, it’s he said he said when I am talking about our confrontation but how close he came with that forklift how wide he swung out with that metal object can’t be disputed. Also the manager mentioned that folks wonder over there all the time, if that’s the case then maybe consider clearer directions maybe a do not enter sign or something. A warning to hobbie builders and small time do it yourselfers beware...
Read moreBrought in my Shindawa weed trimmer for a diagnostic check. Was not operating properly and then it wouldn’t start at all. That was 2 and half weeks ago. I wasn’t called like I was told by the female cashier and notified of the problem and if I want to proceed with the repairs. I called then after 2 weeks and spoke to a Kevin who apparently is the technician for weed trimmers. He said he was out for a week and will get back to me the up and coming Saturday which was 11/11/2023. Has not called back I had to call Kevin on 11/14/2023 some three days later with I been swamped. He said he had ordered new carburetor parts because that was the problem. I got no apology or reason for not calling and checking with me if that is what I want to do. He went ahead and did it without my authorization. Customer service due to this person Kevin an employee of pioneer ace hardware wahiawa reflects the type of business and service they provide. I will not be a return customer and will get the word out about the unsatisfactory service pioneer ace hardware is providing at the...
Read moreOne of the floor service employees who was new to work there knew what I was looking for after I described what I was looking for to him but he said we probably do not have it. He said I may need to go to Home Depot or Lowes for that. So I said ok but did not take that answer so I walked over to the next isle and found what I was looking for in abundance....I was not upset at all but the employee could have gone that extra step and ask another employee who had worked there longer and who had extensive knowledge of their inventory before referring me to another location where the items were.
Great store because I go there all of the time I genuinly want to help and not put them on blast I let him know which isle the items were and what section so he could guide some else...
