A nice beach just south of Laie. The sand is fine and the water is mostly clear. The waves were very aggressive near the south corner and there were lots of people with boards having fun in them.

Near the northern part of the shore is an inlet to some still water where it looks greenish and a ton of trash has washed up on shore. There was a ton of trash also churning in the water in that area as well.

The small parking lot seemed to be able to fit the amount of people that were on the beach. We came midday and had plenty of space to ourselves. Just have a look if you’re in the trash area before you set down your...

We went for a quick stop at Pounder’s Beach aka Laie Beach Park or vice versa. It was another wild beach we visited during the winter months. It’s only a couple minutes drive from the Polynesian Cultural Centre in Laie (check Pounder’s Restaurant for a great pizza) on the eastern part of the island. The park was pretty empty during our visit and it was also quite windy with big waves…perfect conditions for the wave riders! Too bad the weather wasn’t warm enough to enjoy the water but just being at the beach...

This is a beautiful beach located very close to the Polynesian Culture Center. It has a soft sandy beach and lots of shady areas. From the beach, you can see the blue ocean with the green mountains as a backdrop. It’s one of the many great beaches here on the island.

There was a parking area and a shower, but no washroom or changing area. There are some good food trucks and a Foodland nearby for added...
