When I asked my husband what his birthday dinner request was, he told me enchiladas. what!! He has NEVER asked for that so I'm racking my brain, looks for the recipe in the family cookbook and then I had a great idea. I suggested we go to Guadalajara Grill in Hauula. We've heard great reviews about this place and have always wanted to try it. So I checked their menu on Yelp and yup, enchiladas were on the menu. We left the kids with my BIL & wife at our house and went on a birthday date to eat Mexican food! He got his enchiladas and I tried the Red Raider burrito . My burrito was HUGE and there was no way I could eaten that all myself! Glad my husband ate it too! He loved his enchiladas and I loved that I didn't have to make them! Lol The food was so good! We couldn't stop raving about it while we were STILL eating. For dessert, we ordered the fried ice cream and it was so good! Ice cream was still cold and the crust/outside/idk what it's called was perfect. The owner was so friendly and nice. The food came out super fast and the Mexican drinks they had available to buy were also delicious! We'd...

This island is short on Mexican food... I mean good Mexican food. I've been to a lot of places and I've experienced horrible, you're kidding right?, eh, ok, and tolerable. This place however, is the exception. I'm lucky to live close to the place so I can pop by for tasty goodness anytime. I'm a huge fan of the flautas, my bf loves the giant drowned burros, enchiladas, tacos... oh cerviche is great too! One time I mentioned how sad I was they didn't have sopapillas, my favorite dessert from back home, the cook overheard and made me some cinnamon sugar tortilla chips lol! It was funny but kind. Love this place. I grab it to go since I live close, if this is your first time just realize, this is a food truck, the tables and chairs are cheap outdoor furniture. Your soda comes in a bottle. Don't go on taunt days or Sundays. Since their location is technically laiea I think, everyone closes down on Sundays. Which is usually not a problem... unless you're craving Mexican food lol! Great place you...

My husband and I both ordered the fish taco plate. The two bitty little tacos had a tiny bit (like 2 small bites worth) of WAY under seasoned, mushy fish , lettuce shreds and a teaspoon’s worth of BROWN guacamole. Emphasis on BROWN. The entire taco was very low on seasoning and flavor so we tried topping it with some equally bland salsa. Whats with the lack of anything flavorful??? The black beans were soupy, with more soupy stuff than beans. The chips we ordered on the side weren’t crispy but were instead crunchy in an unpleasant, stale way. All of this and 2 small bottles of water for a mere $65 after adding in a tip. Considering it’s a food truck at PCC our expectations weren’t super high, but we didn’t expect to throw 3/4 of it in the trash and have to go find someplace else to eat lunch. A meal has to be really, REALLY bad for me to take the time to write a negative review. This was hands down the worst meal Ive had on Oahu in my 30 years of...

Had lunch here as a quick option before spending the day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. It's part of the market area before the entrance which has a few other options to check out. The menu was labeled with what was vegetarian and gluten free so if you have those diets (which we did in our party) you go in knowing they are conscious of these things and you will be able to eat something. I had the Veggie Burrito which was hearty and good...I generally prefer pinto or refried beans, but neither of those are vegetarian here so had it with black beans. I was quite filled when it was done done and thought this had a nice authentic flavor to it. The person who took our order seemed awfully unhappy to be there which is not typical of Hawaii and bummed us out a little. This is a good quick stop (well it was quick for us...a bit a line developed after we ordered) before heading into the center for the day. There's plenty of seating behind the truck too.

Good food, friendly service, cool location!! Been here twice while on our stay at the North shore area. First time every thing was great tasting food. Wifey had the red Ryder Burrito, I had the chimichanga all were good maybe a little longer in the fryer for the chimi. Second time not so much! Well food way good wifey had the same... I changed it up and had a shredded beef burrito. But don’t know if you can call it a burrito or a quesadilla it was soooooo thin. The rice and beans. where they running out and had to portion control them???? At that price it should be over flowing the compartment. Come on it beans and rice the cheapest thing to serve. Ok should have complained but did check it out until we got back to the hotel. All in all the food was actually tasty!! Check out my pics!!!
