We hired Northstar Home Technologies to add a home theater system as part of a remodel project and also to upgrade our audio, security and home networking capabilities. We met with several small, medium and big-box providers before deciding to go with this company, and we are so happy with they work they did for us. Chris and Brandon have all the basics down - they are friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy. They also seem to have great relationships with their vendors, so they have access to some of the best products available. Where they are different from their competitors, however, is in their ability to program - and this makes all the difference. They do all the background programming themselves, which makes all of the components work together amazingly well. I had the NorthStar team install my surveillance and security system in Minnetonka. I was happy they work with the best brands and components at very competitive prices. The explanation from Chris and his team how everything would work and be installed and how the quote was broken down was clear and straight forward and very profesional. Chris and team showed up punctual and did a great job, clean wiring, can barely tell wires for cameras are outside or wiring inside is done, really impressed, they know their stuff. I wanted a few adjustment on the direction cameras faced and the trip wires (the system can notify me if someone crosses a line like on my front steps) and Chris made these changes no problem as needed.
