Starbucks — Restaurant in Oak Park Heights

I drove thru here this afternoon and asked for my drink to be made at the “kids temp”, something I clearly mentioned because I needed to drink it quickly before heading to an evening meeting. When I picked it up, I asked again if it was “kid’s temp” and was told yes… but it definitely wasn’t even though the sticker said “warm”. I ended up having to go back and ask for ice just to cool it down enough to drink quickly.

On top of that, the drink I ordered is one I get 4–5 times a week and is a standard item on the menu. It’s normally priced consistently, but here it was rung up as a totally different custom drink (with added syrup and almond milk charge) that pushed the price up by another $.80..

What made it more frustrating? I was prompted for a tip before receiving a drink that was both incorrectly made and overcharged.

There’s another Starbucks nearby, and next time I’ll be going there instead. This location just didn’t meet...

I stopped by earlier this afternoon to grab some coffee. I usually go through the drive-thru even though there is usually a line. Today I decided to run inside. I placed my order and after only a few minutes of waiting the customer who placed her order before me decided to go off on the staff saying they were slow and had terrible customer service. The staff remained calm and professional and apologized for the wait. Not even 30 seconds later she is going off at them again. Once again, the staff stayed professional, but at this point I had enough. I exchanged a few words with the customer stating how it's obvious they are very busy and are moving as fast as they can. She obviously still did not agree. None the less I just want to say I have experienced nothing but great service from EVERYONE I have interacted with at this location. Terrible service. Usually it’s not too bad but it was actually slower than usual only 4 people inside including me and still they managed to serve all the people that ordered AFTER ME FIRST. Then when they finally got to mine, she made it wrong. My order was not complicated. I was about to go behind the counter and make it myself. Not to mention it took over 20 minutes for my ONE DRINK. Of course the drive thru people got served right away. Stick to that no matter how busy that looks. Don’t waste your time not to mention the drink I originally wanted, they were out of.
