It is such a shame to write this review. Fiesta Cancun actually has amazing food for the most part. The problem is with service and accountability. Over the past two years we have ordered food from Fiesta Cancun at least 30 times. Additionally, we have eaten in their restaurant. Of the 30+ times we have ordered food to go, three times was through Door Dash and the rest were call ahead for pick-up.
Every single time - except one - they have not included a component of our order. We order the same thing almost every time - flaming cheese fajitas and three hard shell tacos with rice and beans. We learned early on that they are TERRIBLE about checking orders. That is the only reason we stopped ordering through door dash - there was no accountability. Their staff actually drove us components that were missing, but stopped doing that because it was a door dash order. Most of the time they do not provide the tortillas for the fajitas - making it impossible to eat, requiring us to drive back to the restaurant, by the time getting back home to eat, the food is cold. Occasionally it's the rice/beans - or the sour cream + salsa + lettuce that is missing.
Having worked in the service industry as a host and server, I totally understand mistakes happen. But the sheer frequency this occurs is appalling. The only reason we keep going is because their food is generally awesome. That's why it's such a shame that management do not properly train staff and there is seemingly no system or accountability for ensuring orders are checked.
I haven't written a review previously about all the issues, but finally decided to tonight after our latest experience this evening. This evening we ordered for the whole family, and went to pick it up. We checked everything and they brought the last bag and said they were "waiting for the queso" hence the delay. After seeing everything else was there, we left. At home, we quickly realized the major issues. First, the queso they were waiting on and brought was missing. Then, we realized they gave us the completed wrong order - we didn't pull apart the burrito/tacos so only realized it when trying to eat. But the worse part was that what they gave us was disgusting and inedible. The photo shows what was supposed to be the "nacho cheese burrito" - the ground beef is barely cooked. Yikes. This was the first time we ordered something with their ground beef - but moving forward will avoid that at all costs. The shredded chicken and fajitas are great though.
It's a pity, their food is awesome. Hopefully their management team can get it together so their service can...
Read moreI remember a time back when Coven was a dream intact, before the dread days of betrayal and the dark times when the Alliance was shattered. Yea, I gathered here with all my greatest Allies. We clustered round a table in that single night of meeting, that one day that the four Winds of the world could be one glorious ideal.
We had no idea then that the Western Wind would betray us, seduced by the whispers of the Dark Storm. But in that night all were gleefully oblivious, tasting the ichor of the gods in margarita form, chips cracking and crunching with the red blood of tomatoes, the guac running like honey and the entrees endless in size. On that cold, beautiful night, we were whole, and we were happy. Life seemed infinite and good.
I find myself oft thinking about this land where it happened. Sometimes, under a full moon, I stand in the parking lot, staring longingly at the place where we four Winds once met. I know that moment is gone, cast aside - the Betrayer changed the natural order. But I know also that Fiesta Cancun remains a place where good Mexican food can be had. Where these iconic moments in time can occur in between the chaos.
Do not let life pass you by, O Watcher.
Order the guac. It comes...
Read moreWe were driving home from visiting family out of state, and we were craving Mexican style food. We weren’t expecting much, but were more than happy with the outcome. We had our dogs in the car, so we asked to be seated on the patio so we can watch our dogs while eating. The waiter told us to just bring the dogs to the table we had outside. It made all of us happy to have our dogs close, and not locked in the car.
The waiter was always checking on us to make sure everything was good, and ask if there was anything else we needed. He was definitely one of the better waiters I’ve had out of most restaurants I’ve been to.
Right away, home made chips, and salsa was brought to the table, and was hard to stop eating. Food came up rather quick, and tasted much better than I expected. Tortillas were definitely made in the restaurant, meat was tender, and juicy . Veggies were fresh, and full of flavor.
I would highly recommend anyone looking for fresh, and tasty, Mexican food, I would highly recommend Fiesta Mexican Grill. I did go in on Memorial Day, so it was mostly empty, so I do not know how busy it gets on a normal day, but I am looking forward to returning, so I will update once I figure it...
