Sky Dragon Restaurant — Restaurant in Oak Park Heights

After reading the reviews on this restaurant, I was excited to give it a try. Friendly service and good food is my jam!! My daughter and I were super pumped to find a new favorite Chinese restaurant so close to our house.

We walked in and immediately I realized this is not what I expected. The woman working was not the friendly, super helpful person everyone had raved about. She was crabby, short, and actually rude. It set a horrible tone for our visit. As we looked at the menu she was nothing short of annoyed, and made it very clear. No discussion, no suggestions or help with the menu. We ordered our items to eat there and something to go. We sat down at the one table that was relatively clean, and she barked at me that our order was ready. It was all in a bag. I said, "We wanted to eat here, only the chow mein was to go" and you would have thought I was asking for the world.

Luckily I made a conscious effort to not let her affect my time with my daughter, but I witnessed her being a flat out b to the other people who came in behind us. The food was good - egg rolls were amazing, like people said, and the rest was good with good portions and a good price... but seriously, the service was so awful and I felt so unwelcome that I doubt I will...

Last night my boyfriend and i ordered take out from here. We've eaten there before and have only had very small issues with them. But this was terrible. We live right down the road so it took no more than 5 minutes to get home. He ordered sweet and sour chicken which looked fine but i ordered chicken chow mein... which was LITERALLY all celery with like 4 pieces of chicken. When i opened the box, at first glance i was like "aw yeah" but then when i poured it into a bowl it revealed that the entire takout box was full of celery, with a few pieces of chicken in top as if to hide the fact that it was ALL celery. We tried to call and complain or get an answer but they didnt even answer the phone, and we know they weren't closed yet, we had just been there, they close at 9 and it wasn't even 8:30 yet. This place is awful. It was MUCH better when they cared, when it was Mr Chow's. But now its a sad excuse for restaurant. You'd find better food and service at Lee Ann Chin's down the road....

We've been going here since they first opened years ago. Since the 1st time, this is the ONLY Asian restaurant we buy. The taste is absolutely by far the best!! This is the BEST Asian food we've ever had in the entire twin cities metro area hands down! It used to be "our little secret" fav-go to spot, but word got out lol... Very healthy portions~ every meal I've had so far I've had dinner then lunch AND dinner the next day!! Dinner time can be a long wait some nights, but it's totally worth any wait!! Super friendly, dedicated service. Small family owned/run restaurant so you know your meal is made with the same love every time!! The only downside is a few times per year she closes down for a week or so for family vacations. Totally understand it's needed, but we cry every time we call to order and get that dreaded voicemail that they're closed. ...
