I'm glad the owner responded below- as the attitude illustrated in the response - is exactly what I experienced from staff when I visited. I did take my business elsewhere, I didn't join- so the feedback wasn't needed but as a customer I wouldn't support a place that didn't feel it had anything to improve as achivers are always improving lol...In the response, the owner says he was at the front desk in earshot. He was not- nor did he attempt to help. Also, I didn't speak much as I wasn't served - I was calm and asked for manager- so again, not as described below The only lies I see are in the response . So there was not opportunity to be rude but I was treated rudely!!!!
That aside, Youâll notice a theme with most of the "professional reviews" you see here. Iâm a regular person who walked in hoping to find a trainer and welcoming #atmosphere. I did not find that-left and hired one elsewhere that day. The gym itself like most of the people in it are beautiful. Loved that but not the vibe. The front desk customer service lady barely wanted to answer any questions - I had to repeat myself multiple times, I waited- no other staffer tried to help she didnât get up and was talking softly so I had to lean over to hear her. She also couldnât hear me so kept asking me the same questions I had already shared in terms of what I was looking for.
Its easy to attack someone and name call online but what is harder to do is admit the establishment had poor service on the day I visited. It did. She was not engaged in helping me find a trainer- so I hired one elsewhere. This is definitely a place for people already in shape and young - when I shared my experience with those who manage the instagram I was told if I donât like how they run their business then I should go elsewhere.
So, the manager's feedback below is a lie and doesn't reference that encounter. Donât all businesses benefit from calm feedback? Also whoever runs the instagram said they witnessed the staffer help me. I WAS NEVER HELPED HENCE LEAVING lol...So, not true. Also, that person was not close enough to - hear any of the convo.
If youâre looking to learn about health and wellness this is not the place. Fortunately I had other locations and gyms to visit. So, I moved on- I didn't need that direction in the response either. Already occur- internet gangster.....lol. Next. I also tried to describe the person who was rude and the owner didnât want to listen to any feedback when I contacted them instead tried to verbally attack me. No great customer service at all. Fortunately there are other gyms with...

Functioning Equipment: 2 stars Imagine a narcissistic gym owner that attacks reviews of Members who stood with him during a Pandemic, claiming Loyalty above all else, who wonât turn music slightly down so members can hear their coaches⌠yeah, me neither because Iâm a reasonable adult. Itâs no wonder so many people and trainers have left Henry
My family have been members of first Legacy Barbell, and now LGND Barbell for 7 years. We stuck with them through the pandemic and paid every month. We canceled our membership today over an issue with the volume of the music. After requesting the music to be lowered, the manger brushed me off and wouldnât talk to me. I am hearing impaired and paid $80 for a Boxing session and couldnât hear my coach because the speakers sit on the ground right next to the boxing session and were blaring (music with the F word and N word) After I located the owner, he said the music level wasnât changing and proceeded to berate me for opening a door that did NOT say âstaff onlyâ. Henry Walker lost my entire family Memberships over 1 hour. 1 HOUR! I just couldnât hear my coach. Weâve put up with his psycho behavior in the past but never again!
I sent a picture of the speaker on the floor
The Mangers/Owners message to me: First off I did not brush you off. I told you not right now because I had to deal with something going on in the back parking lot that was more important over music and please do not sit there and say that I could care less about a hearing impaired member, I am deaf in my left ear, so please do not pull that card with me. And thanks for lying in your review stating I âwouldnât talk to youâ bc everyone at the front are witnesses. And the speakers are in the airâŚ. Not the ground. Yes, you have been with us for awhile, but that does not give anyone the right to demand the music be lowered. And youâre right, 2 trainers lost clients, but it wasnât on us, it was due to...
Read moreWent here to sign up for a one month pass. Filled out the info on the ipad and paid the $70 dollars. Afterwards the guy behind the counter told me he needed to make a copy of my drivers license. I asked why, he replied "We need to know who you are.". I asked why, he replied "It is Texas law. I cannot let you in here without a copy of your ID.".
The FTC reports over a million cases of identity theft every year. I did feel comfortable letting him make a copy of my ID. I asked if he could refund my money because he did not tell me about the ID requirement beforehand. He said he could not, but he would make a note, and the manager Nikki would call me on Monday.
I asked if the manager had a phone number or email I could contact her on. He said she did not, but I could contact her through Instagram. Kinda strange that a gym does not have a contact channel for their managers.
When I got home I called back and talked to the same guy. He gave me her email address. I do not know why he told me she did not have one when I was standing there.
I sent multiple emails and left voicemails for the manager Nikki. Never got any communication returned.
I looked up Texas law. Gyms are governed by the Texas Health Spa Act. There is no such law that requires gyms to keep a copy of a persons ID. Why would they keep copies of peoples IDs and lie about it? Will all of the ID theft these days, I would think they would want to avoid that liability.
It looks really shady when the manager refuses to return calls and emails.
Also, what's up with all the reviews on here with pictures that look like they were taken by the same photographer with the same camera? Are those fake?
[Editing to reply to the owners reply 8-1-2023 12:37 ct] There were other employees standing there who also said it was Texas law. Not just the young man.
How did you know it was the young man? Did you talk to him about this and yet you have still refused to return my communication attempts?
You have refused to returns phone calls and emails. That...
