We had our son's 10th birthday at iFly today and it was a fantastic experience! Joe was so patient with our crowd; ask for him, if possible! Each flyer got 3 flights, including a high fly. My son got a little extra flight time as the birthday kid.
Our experience started on time, even though we were a few minutes late arriving. They really have a great system, moving different groups throughout the space while still making you feel like you're the only ones there. You may not have the same experience if you're not part of a group but we were very pleased by how well things were run.
We had a party room and it was set up for us ahead of time. I didn't actually need to use my own decor/paper products but if that's important to you, you can probably make arrangements ahead of time.
The pizza provided by Jet's Pizza was really good! You don't always know what to expect when you're having pizza included as part of a package but in this case, have no fear. Water and soda was also provided.
Our package also included vouchers for each flyer to download a photo and video from their flights. This was a really easy process and a great memento for the kids.

Read moreI so wish this wasn't my review. But here we go. We came for my son's 8th birthday, check in was a bit chaotic, the initial person I checked in with was so sweet and incredibly helpful. Until we were handed off to his coworker whom right from the start I felt as if we were not welcomed. It got progressively worst, with the attitude towards the kids, man handling alot of them, and when one was having anxiety and sensory overload, instead of showing compassion and patience, it was anything but. The kids didn't get their picture, video, nor a certification for the fly. But the icing on the cake for me was when my son said it was the worst birthday. For a 8 year old to pick up such poor vibes it's unfortunate. Sadly all 5 parents that came, felt the same way. Thank you for our first but last experience sadly at ifly.
Edit: spoke to the manager Jenny and unfortunately there was not even a apology for the man handling of the kids, except for a " we will review the video" of the instructor that was unkind, except for we will revisit the issues with the staff of thanks and thank you for the feedback.
Rest assured, we most Definitely will not be back.

Read moreBUYER BEWARE! During our recent trip to Texas, we decided to visit this location in The Woodlands. I purchased the 10 flights for five family members. I purchased one additional session for myself and was in limbo about my 4 year old niece because her parents were already in the wind tunnel. Needless to say, her waiver was never signed by her parents. They came out, and I went in for my flight session. I truly believe that it was oversight on my behalf. During the excitement of my flight I did not notice that I was charged for my niece even though her waiver was never signed and we were never offered an option to take an additional flight at that time and place. I figured no signed waiver, no flight, no charge, I was wrong, and I was charged. I kindly called The Woodlands location and explained the situation. At this point, I was informed that I would not be getting a refund for time not used. Anyone of us would have taken another turn if it would have been made aware that I was going to be charged any which way. " The house always wins."
