We were hoping that Panda Kitchen would be our new go-to for chinese takeout, but it was an enormous let down. We ordered to go for Sunday night around 7p, it was ~40$ for 2 people, which is about standard for the area. We got 2 large soups, lo mein, and general tsos chicken.
The good: the General Tsos was incredible. huge chunks, flavorful sauce, decent portion, albeit no broccoli included. If you make the decision to come here, this is what you should order. This and only this.
The ok: the hot and sour soup had some decent flavor, but was weirdly smokey. Not great, but not bad.
The terrible: as another reviewer mentioned, the lo mein was terrible. Noodles were overcooked, and mushy, and tasted like very old, burned seasme and fry oil. There was no other flavor profile or sauce of any kind. Just old, greasy, wet noodles with plain chicken. There was 1 green onion on top as the "veggies". Similarly, the wonton soup was SO bland - it just tasted like pepper water. They clearly didnt use a broth, or tried to extend and old one by watering it down - the only flavor was white pepper, no chicken or salt undernotes, no green onions/chives. The wontons themselves were nice, but I literally had to open a can of chicken broth, dump the broth that came with them, and make my own base to make it edible.
Stick to Golden China, Chef Chans, etc. unless you plan on only ordering...
Read moreAlways good, always fresh, always busy! It's Americanized Chinese food not traditional Chinese and it's delicious! We always get a little of everything, make our own little buffet. Faves: Lo mein (any of them), Fried rice, Beef broccoli, egg rolls, any shrimp dish, puffs. Only wish they would make the broth stronger for the wonton soup, my one and only complaint, which isn't really a complaint since it's really personal preference. (I think that's what most people need to understand about their reviews) Most are not reviews on the food or that it's bad, it's "didn't have this in it" Well it's not your recipe. "wasn't cooked the way i would've cook it" You asked someone to cook for you, so no it's not your way. "not like my mom's" BECAUSE it's not your mom's. "It's too expensive" to You it is. My favorite "portions are too small" I'm gonna keep my comments to that review response to myself.....BUT if I was to respond in any way I'd say maybe you prefer a buffet. Again I feel those are all personal feelings not food reviews. Just try it, ignore the...
Read moreI was really excited about visiting this restaurant. The location seemed great, and the menu looked promising, so I decided to check the reviews before making a reservation. However, after reading the owner’s responses to customer feedback, I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere. Instead of addressing concerns professionally, the responses came across as dismissive and defensive, which is a huge red flag for me. Constructive criticism is part of the service industry, and seeing how poorly feedback is handled makes me question the quality of the dining experience. It’s a shame because I was genuinely looking forward to giving this...
