First of all, I must give praise where it's due - Crystal was very attentive, she allowed my friend to try the Spanish rice (should change your menu to Mexican rice instead) and gave me the spicier green sauce for my dish. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.
I came here with a friend for the first time Tuesday night and I really wanted to like this place and give it a second try with my family next time to support local business, but I was surprised to see a credit card fee of $1.29 on my bill after the I gave my credit card to the male waiter (without seeing the bill first). I have never been charged by any restaurants with a credit card fee in the Woodlands. When I asked Crystal about it to see if she could reverse the charge, she said she did not know how to do it and gave me $2.00 cash to offset the fee - this is how a professional handled a situation like this. Unfortunately, when I addressed this issue politely to the male waiter to suggest that he should have informed me of this fee and gave me the option of paying cash to avoid the fee. He talked back to me to argue that other places and gas stations charged such a fee like this, his rudeness to a customer was not acceptable!!! The owner needs to educate his wait staff to inform his customers of this fee or drop it altogether, this is bad business practice in my book, and you will lose even more business when someone went home and saw the fee later on his/her bill. Crystal was very apologetic to me as I was leaving. I would have loved to come back for the sake of seeing her again, but I will not come back for such attitude and rudeness of the male waiter when it was his fault in the first place.
BTW, my friend knew the difference between Spanish rice and Mexican rice, yours is not Spanish rice and you should correct your menu. Your fried icecream is also not the same as your photo in your menu, my friend suggested that I should asked for a refund for false advertisement, but...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Worth It! As someone who's extremely picky when it comes to eating out, it's not often I walk away genuinely impressed—but this place nailed it. I had the pastor mini taquitos and they were absolutely delicious. The meat was lean, tender, and perfectly seasoned—no gristle, no excess fat, just flavor. The roasted jalapeños packed a spicy punch, and the corn tortillas were fresh and on point. The ranchero beans were a standout too—hearty, flavorful, and loaded with big chunks of chorizo. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I’ll...
Read moreOrdered the Beef Enchiladas, they were good. Refried beans looked unusual at first but tasted good. Pricing is in line with other El Jimador restaurants from what I saw online versus the menu in restaurant. The menu is your typical Mexican restaurant fair(fajitas, combination plates, tacos, burritos and enchiladas). Food was filling, I took half home with me. The staff were nice, professional and attentive. I look forward to coming back...
