Visited family for the weekend and my uncle took us here during the local farmer's market. Lot of amazing food and nice people! There was also vendors selling a range of goods and it was interesting to see various types of art that I'm not used to. Would definitely check it out if you love fresh produce and supporting local vendors! I believe the farmers market is only on the weekends but I'd double check before...

A gem of an urban park, mostly maintained by neighborhood volunteers. The Saturday farmer's market is year-round, and well worth a visit. Restaurants in the Grand Lake neighborhood (on Grand and Lakeshore) are diverse and welcoming. The Grand Lake Theatre shows first run movies and include an organ player on Friday and Saturday evenings. A walk around Lake Merritt is a 3 mile jaunt well...
