Eastshore Park — Attraction in Oakland

This is a popular park near the entrance to lake Merritt. It was recently rebuilt by local neighbors after a massive fundraising effort a few years ago, so the party structures are relatively new and clean.

It's in between the entrance to lake Merritt and the Saturday farmers market at Lakeshore ave. So it's a good place to take the kids after going to the market or checking out lake Merritt.

Be prepared to step out into (or cross) the street at any moment in order to maintain 6 - 12 ft of social distance. Especially avoid dog walkers, runners, who are ignorant and care only about themselves (and what works for them). Stand back from the sidewalk when waiting for a bus. All true even as early as 8am.
