I recently visited again with some family and was reminded why I stopped coming to MVG. They have some of the tightest machines around and they're mostly video slots (those ones that make a big deal and scream at you when you win 12 cents on a $2 bet). You don't get much play for your money at all. No poker, no tables, very few older style machines. I'm usually an easygoing person but this place actually had me a bit agitated. The floor plan forces you to constantly weave around machines rather than have a main path so it's really hard to find the person/people you're with if you lose them. Walking in the main door will get you bombarded by an army of those SUPER bright, flashing video machines which is very overwhelming especially coming in at night. The machines DO NOT accept $1 bills so be prepared for that I guess. Something particularly annoying was them blasting "Jackpot! Someone's got the money money money!" every few minutes on a timer. Just use the intercom for drawings and lost spouses please. One thing that really ticked me off is the manipulative indoor panhandling at the cash out ticket machines. They actually beg for your spare change every time you cash out. To make matters worse, they intentionally set up the buttons for you to accidentally hit "donate" rather than "payout". (I'll try to take a photo if I go back) The screen changes and the "payout" button switches to the other side of the screen and the "donate" button is now where you just pressed "payout" so your money is now gone. They need to get rid of this and not make the "It's for charity" excuse. This is a casino. You have thousands of dollars donated to you every day, stop begging us for our spare change too. I cant say much on staff because I only interact with the ID checker at the door. Overall, I really didn't enjoy my time here. There are definitely some things they need to change.
