UPDATE 7/28/25 Went to Chipotle again and AGAIN they are out of items at 8:00PM. How do you NOT have cheese. Please get your stuff together chipotle.
To the Attention of the New CEO & OWNER OF THIS CHIPOTLE HERE IN MONROE
I am writing to express my deep frustration and ongoing disappointment with what has consistently been the most poorly managed Chipotle location I’ve ever encountered. The Monroe, OH store routinely runs out of essential ingredients—an issue that has persisted for years with no apparent improvement. If sales at this location have declined, I assure you this is a primary reason why.
It is absolutely unacceptable for a high-traffic store—especially one located near major attractions like the Cincinnati Premium Outlets and Traders World—to be out of key menu items as early as 8:00 PM on a Friday or Saturday evening. This points to a serious and ongoing failure in operational planning, inventory management, and basic staff training.
Whoever has been responsible for ordering and management at this location over the past two years clearly lacks the understanding and responsiveness required to meet even the most predictable levels of customer demand. The lack of alignment with local peak traffic times is baffling, especially considering how easy it is to anticipate when this town experiences a rush.
Frankly, I don’t work for your company, and yet I have a better grasp on when your busiest hours are than the team that’s being paid to know. That’s a problem. I can tel tou with certainty that I now actively avoid this location, opting instead to visit the West Chester or Middletown stores for a more reliable experience. I will only visit this location if I am exhausted and don't want to drive to the next town. I'm sure I am not the only resident that feels this way.
This situation reflects poorly on your brand and should receive immediate attention. A reassessment of management, supply protocols, and employee training at this store is long overdue.
Sincerely, A Frustrated (Former)...
Read moreWaited a couple of days to post this because it's negative. Stopped in. They were out of a lot of stuff. Asked for brisket, the kid scraped the sides of the bowl. Not one actual piece of meat. Asked if he had more ready to come out. Left us standing for 5 minutes, said he added more. We didn't see it. Out of guac. Again, scraped side of bowl no nothing in it but liquid. Tried to overcharge us for guac and got nasty when we said no, that's part of the vegetarian. Got real snitty when he found out he was wrong. There was no ice in the ice machine. Every table was nasty with chunks of garbage everywhere. The floor under tables nasty is covered with chunks of food. The manager was dressed like she slept in her clothes. Sweat pants and nasty stained sweatshirt. Her hair definitely hadn't been brushed since she rolled out of bed. Looked like it hadn't been washed in a week. She came out and slowly rambled around. Not one word to emps about state of nasty unstocked restaurant. Definitely no physical help offered to them. To the owners, if you give a crap about your investment, you might want to get new managers that can take a bath before they come to work. That can lead employees and understand about keeping the items stocked and the restaurant clean. This is ridiculous. Paying you $24 plus for two servings is outrageous. But asking for that in a restaurant that is run like you've stopped to eat at the nasty cousins house that has 15 unruly kids running around...
Read moreJanuary 3 is my teen's Adoption Day. She chose Chipotle for her special dinner. (We love Chipotle). But today, the Monroe location was out of: chips, guacamole, tortillas, and cheese. The "Sunday truck" did not deliver what they needed. We ordered and ate, and it was mostly delicious, though severely lacking at the same time.
Two observations: a tiny (10 percent) discount would have gone a FAR way as an apology. Or free drinks (though almost every spout in the soda machine had an out of order sign on it). Or even just a verbal apology!! The employees were all very kind, and this was not their fault, but there were no apologies in the 20+ minutes we were there.
Second, I am concerned about the freshness of the food. We arrived at 6:30 on a Thursday night. The Sunday previous - THAT truck did not deliver. So we know that no trucks deliver between Sunday and Thursday. But, we have to assume now that we were eating food that was delivered a week earlier. Being a graduate of an Ivy League hotel/food management program, I cannot figure out how Chipotle manages to keep perishables like lettuce, salsa, fresh for up to - or well over - a week.
That said, although our favorites (cheese, guac, tortillas) were missing we had a mostly delicious dinner. And we noted that we were very lucky to be in a fortunate enough situation that THIS was our biggest issue of the day...
