I walk into Gamestop while on my 1 hour break from work "which I work at Walmart, right next to Gamestop" as I often did, and was going to put 50 dollars down towards my PS4. As I did not know at that you cannot use your savings from your debit card I cancelled the transaction and stayed a little while before heading back to work. About 40 mins past and a Policeman walks in the store with my manager and in front of my co-workers, piers, and store manager, takes me into a office and tells me "we have you on camera, where's the card?" I have no clue what so ever to what he is talking about and ask him, what card?. He tells me that there was a transaction in Gamestop with a stolen credit card and whoever had it spent 100 dollars on it. I told him what I went in there for and after telling him my story I was searched and then asked if I hand it off to somebody. I calmly told him that my transaction cancelled after the third time. He said to me "if I go over there and check the camera's and ask them they will say you cancelled the transaction" I told him that they should. I stay at the door in walmart 30 mins later "if that" he shows up and tells me, "WHAT HAD HAPPEN WAS, THEY LOOKED AT THE VIDEO AND DIDNT CHECK THE REGISTERS TO SEE WHICH TRANSACTION IT WAS ON. THE DISTRICT MANAGER SAID IT WAS ME WITHOUT PROPERLY INSPECTING THE VIDEO AND THE REGISTERS." I have never been more embarrassed in my life. I have patiently waited to talk with the District manager for 4 MONTHS and I AM PISSED. I have talked to their Assistant Manager there and I keep getting empty promises that I will talk with him, but every time I return it's the same I'm trying. All I wanted to do was talk, but I'm done waiting. I have spent so much money at Gamestop over the years and I am now 19 years old in college but now, I will never spend another penny...
Read moreAs an owner of multiple consoles, I find myself pre-ordering frequently in order or keep up with the releases happening on all platforms. I’ve found GameStop to be convenient because it allows me to keep track of all of the future titles that I have committed to. I honestly don’t have time for being unable to perform the most basic task of providing a customer with their list of pre-ordered titles on their official GameStop Rewards account. I would understand if I was not able to produce valid identification that I was indeed the owner and receipient of said GameStop Rewards account, especially with the approximate value of my individual account, considering the amount of pre-orders on multiple platforms that I have made. Fortunately there was a saving grace. I was able to login to my official GameStop Rewards account on my phone while in the parking lot and review my list of pre-ordered titles, thank goodness. This cast a strange shadow of doubt upon the fact that I had placed all of my pre-ordered eggs in a questionable basket. I will be making my future pre-orders in more reliable hands, perhaps Best Buy. Parting is such sweet sorrow, I’m sorry that things had...
Read moreI had a bad experience yesterday with North. I came in looking for Fae Farm for Nintendo Switch, and found one copy on the shelf. I was holding onto it for 10-15 minutes while I looked for other games since they had a deal going on where you can buy 2 pre owned games and get 1 free. I was taking my time to see what else I wanted to purchase. Then, an individual comes in and I hear her speaking to North at the counter asking for Fae Farm. She commented that she called earlier and was told there was one on the shelf and she couldn’t find it. Overhearing, I speak up and let them know I have it because I’m planning on purchasing it. North walks over and sticks her hand out to me and tells me I need to give her the game because the other customer “asked for it first”. I immediately left. I’m leaving 3 stars because I’ve purchased from this location before with no issues, but I truly have never felt more...
