Took my wife and son here earlier today for a late lunch. We were immediately seated, which was nice, and started looking over our menus.
My wife only wanted an appetizer (along with some of the COMPLIMENTARY salad that is always served), my son wanted a pizza and grapes as his side, and I decided I just wanted the house salad. Our waitress came up and didn't give us her name or anything, and got our drink orders. I requested an additional water for my son since he'd drink his V8 quickly and would want it. She disappeared for a bit, bringing the drinks and taking our orders.
This is where the service went downhill. Gave her our son's order, no problem. My wife requested her order, and the waitress immediately barked that she wouldn't be having any of the COMPLIMENTARY salad. We kinda brushed it off, and then gave her my order -- just the house salad. She then stormed off with our orders.
10-15 minutes passed, and she brought out the salad. She made it an extra effort to say "Here's YOUR salad, sir" and placed the salad on the table along with one salad bowl. She then placed two smaller plates in front of my wife and son, and said "And here's these for each of you, ONLY for bread". She placed the bread basket on the table, and we asked about the salad being complimentary. She walked away.
About five minutes later, she brings out my wife and son's dishes. There were a total of FIVE grapes in his "side" dish, and when she asked if my wife wanted cheese on her plate (a sort of fried lasagna), my wife said yes and the waitress sighed and grumbled.
I was out of tea, and she poured some more. However, there was no ice. She proceeded to forget about our refills and the salad refills, and we overheard her saying something about not needing to bring more salad/bread to our table.
Another waitress came by to check on us, and was MUCH more pleasant. She refilled our drinks (though still no ice in mine), refill our salad and breadsticks. She was much more pleasant, and if I had had the opportunity to give her a tip directly after our meal, I would have (could not find her after she helped).
Our waitress reappeared after a little longer and slammed the bill on the table and just said "No rush" and walked away.
My wife and I decided to go ahead and pay the bill then and there, and not leave a tip. Our total was $30 and some change, with no tip. Would have gladly tipped if we had the other waitress, though the one we had didn't seem to want it. The food was great, but the service is the reason we will not be...
Read moreWent in on 5/8/25 at 12:45pm. It was not too busy. Waitress took drink orders, hot tea (sister said they have excellent hot tea here, so that's what she ordered), I ordered lemonade. 10 minutes later sis gets hot tea and waitress says "That's the only kind of hot tea bags we have." She then put an iced tea down in front of me. I asked her what it was and she said "Well that's not your lemonade. I must have given it to someone else." 5 minutes later i ask a server to get our waitress (dark hair pony tail and double nose piercing). 5 minutes later she brings my lemonade and we order. Sister ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and minestrone soup. I order soup, salad, breadsticks. I've started timing this incident now.......8 minutes later she brings breadsticks and my sisters soup. I tell her nicely I want my soup now, please. She says "The soup and salad come out with the entre." I again say that I would like them now, please. 6.5 minutes later she brings the salad. Have i mentioned the breadsticks were so tough we could not chew them and I've got strong teeth! (My sisters spaghetti had so little sauce she couldnt eat it.) Ok, so now another chick brings my soup. I asked where my server is and she says "She had 2 tables and a gift card didn't go through so she's working on that." NOT MY PROBLEM! Now I'm watching musical chairs with them seating people in one section to simply move them to another and my drink and my soup need refills. The other chick brings my soup. My server brings my lemonade 6 minutes later. An hour and 45 minutes after we got there, we were leaving, very unsatisfied. My sister would not let me do what I do best and get our meals comped, so I left zero tip instead. Upon leaving I spoke to the hostess/manager and told her our service was terrible and that I pray they straighten up by Mother's Day so they don't ruin any mom's celebrations. Her response "We were so busy and didn't have enough staff." I WILL NOT BE BACK TO THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR AN OLIVE GARDEN! I will gladly drive to the south side where I've never had...
Read moreFirst , I wanna start with I don’t ever take the time to write a review. Tuesday night me and some friends ate at this Olive Garden location. Walking in you are greeted with a very unpleasant sewage smell. The smell literally made me and my friends second guess eating here. Wish we hadn’t. The friends I was with got the soup & salad, and I got the cheese ravioli. When you order an entree you have a choice to pick between soup or salad, while we were all eating salads I looked down at my plate to then see a black hair that was not mine. I immediately lost my appetite. I was too nervous to address the issue , so my friend informed our server that we found the hair. She then comes back to tell us that their soup & salad combos have been taken off and I was given 25% off my entree. I was kinda disappointed considering the hair was on my plate but still appreciated the discount. Then when it was time for checks she let us know that my friends soft drinks were removed and mine weren’t. I then found a voice to say that I found that unfair considering that my salad was the one with the hair. I am then told that the salad was 1/2 their meal…. I’m sorry but it was also 1/2 of mine. With an entree you get a soup or salad. So I was just as entitled to the salad as they were. Our server then goes to tell her manager to now take my drink off. When the server returned I had my drink taken off but still only a 25% discount. I find it super disappointing that the manager knew I was the one that found the hair and still compted my friends food and not mine. I also wish the server had advocated more for me and the fact my plate had the hair. It was wrong to offer some people at the table different discounts. I loved this Olive Garden location, and have for years. After this experience I will no longer be dinning at this...
