PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE try this place!!!! If not for the amazing food alone, then for the Incredible and Above & Beyond customer service!! To start off, I arrived about 10 minutes early and through the glass windows I saw the staff cleaning diligently, sweeping and wiping down the display cases ensuring everything was perfect for opening. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted, welcomed in, and walked through what each pastry was by the lovely assistant manager May. May was EXTREMELY personable and made sure my experience was truly exceptional. I purchased many items including a drink (honey lavender matcha latte) which was made my another staff member, and as I was handed my drink May commented that the color of the matcha didn’t look correct and asked if I could try it right there, to no surprise she was correct and the matcha was quite watery. She then immediately remade the drink for me and asked me to try it again to see if it was better. It was still watery and she then apologized and informed me they were having issues with their matcha, and made me another drink of my choice (iced ube latte) which was DELICIOUS. The fact that May kept remaking my drink until she got it perfect showed me how important it is to her for her guests to be satisfied and taken care of. In addition to her attentive service she also happily answered alI questions I had about their cakes and other things and did so with a smile 😊. I will DEFINITELY be visiting again and will be recommending this place to everyone I know. Thank you May and all the other staff members for such an amazing...
Read moreI visited here with my family this past weekend. I was really excited to try this place. We arrived around 2:30 or so. The place was busy, with most of the tables full.
It looks like there is a large selection but we either came at a bad time or they don’t restock often enough because there were a lot of empty cases and many of the things we wanted to try (like the kimchi croquettes) were out of stock. However, what we did pick up (a chocolate dipped waffle, fudge brownie, butter cream bread, purple sweet potato bread, red bean donut, caramel macchiato, and strawberry smoothie) were delicious.
There were even more people who arrived after we picked up our items and were waiting for our drinks and were most likely disappointed in the empty cases. I assume this might be because the place is still learning how to stock their cases since they’ve only been open a month or so. I hope in the future they stock well because I would love to return, but not if the selections are limited. It’s the main reason this doesn’t...
Read moreI made my first visit to Tous les Jours today, and overall, it was… extremely okay. With so many great spots in town for coffee and pastries, this one didn’t really stand out.
I ordered the red bean bun, which I was genuinely excited about since I’ve had amazing versions of it from other bakeries in the past. Unfortunately, this one fell flat. Imagine mashing red kidney beans with a bit of sugar and stuffing it into a King’s Hawaiian roll — that’s basically what it tasted like. Not terrible, just not what I’d hoped for.
The coffee? Also just okay. Drinkable, but definitely not worth a special trip. The atmosphere didn’t help much either — instead of the warm, inviting smell of coffee or baked goods, I was greeted with the smell of old mop water.
On the positive side, the employees were friendly and clearly working hard, busy restocking shelves with treats. But nice service alone isn’t quite enough to draw me back when there are better, more memorable options...
