I WOULD NOT BUY UNWEANED OR WEANING BIRDS FROM HERE!!!!!
I bought a baby love bird that was close to being unweaned from here and I had it for three days and it died. I followed everything that I was told to do and she was completely fine moving around chirping, then When I woke up in the morning she had died. It’s very upsetting cause I was forming a bond with her and then she died out of nowhere. I called the store to talk to them and see the policy, and the guy that answered told me that I signed a paper saying they don’t have a policy on unweaned bird, which I don’t remember signing so he said he would check and call me back. He didn’t call me back so I called him again today and he told me I did sign it. he asked me a bunch of questions to see if I did anything wrong and I answered with no cause I read the care sheet and I know not to put those things near a bird. He then told me “what do you want me to do? Give you the $200 back” I asked if he could do that then he said no. Which I don’t understand why he asked that if he couldn’t. He also kept asking me why I didn’t take it to the vet, which I kept repeating because she looked fine and was behaving normally and he said you don’t take your dogs to the vet when you get them and I said no, when I got my dog he came with a vet checkup already, he then said “in Kentucky” and I said “yes”. He then said he couldn’t do that to all the birds cause that would be expensive. And kept telling me that I should’ve taken her to a vet, and I kept telling him that she was fine. And I told him that it was fine that I would leave a review and he said what I would say and I said the truth of what I saw and he interrupted me in the middle of that and said what you think you saw. And I told him that no what I did see that she was fine and then she died then he said in an accusing tone “oh you saw her die” which isn’t true cause like I said she was dead by the time I woke up. And he kept berating me and interrupting me telling me stuff about her sibling and that I should’ve taken her to the vet so I finally told him, I’m just gonna leave a review on your page bye and hanged up. I admit I should’ve payed more attention and read the terms, there was so much happening. One woman that worked there was talking to me and to other people and so much was happening so I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t notice so I guess I just signed the paper he was taking about. I just wanted to know if he could do anything like half my money back or something but no he kept telling me I should’ve done this and that while interrupting and being rude, and which I can’t do any of the stuff he said now cause she’s dead. So I’m out 240 something dollars cause I got a bird and supplied from them that didn’t even live past three days. Basically saying it’s my fault cause they couldn’t confirm anything (which if they wanted proof I have videos of her behaving normally and looking even better than she did in that hot place all scared). Along that when I first got her there was confusion going on with me and this elderly lady cut her nail to where she was bleeding and took her blood and they wanted us to pay $30 to sex her which isn’t what we wanted or asked for, and this nice lady with short brown hair ended up clearing things up, that day everything was cramped and they were all over the place. in the end I do not recommend getting a baby bird from here, I saw that they had good reviews so I thought it was safe but...
Read more10/10. I was skeptical of a bird store being anything but a small 20x 10 foot room crammed full of birds with a handful of toys covered by droppings and dust after being burnt one too many times. BOY WAS I WRONG! This place is incredible. A huge wall of toys separate from the birds for sale and the boarded birds, as well as every style, gage, and spacing size available in bird cages. I looked since 2018 for a larger cage that was 3/4” bar spacing for my pionus. I found it here. It was $1,200 plus $225 to assemble and deliver. I had been saving up/looking for a cage since 2018 but unfortunately due to a shut down before the chinese new year 2020 and covid AE and several of the other manufacturers have not been sending out new cages for almost 3 years. I wasted so much time with other companies in person and online waiting for a larger cage to become available for my pionus. The biggest I could find with 1/2, 5/8, or 3/4” spacing was no bigger than my current cage at about 32” across. I had my money in a savings account since 2018 waiting to find the perfect up grade. I will recommend all of my Pionus friends to get this corner cage. It is SPECTACULAR. It would also work for other medium birds like caique, smaller amazons, smaller cockatoos and other birds. The gage is thick enough where my pionus cannot pop the gage wires off the welds. I would recommend you come here before you order online as they have more toys available than bonka or kings cages and you can actually see them in person. Considering my last cage from AE has lasted 18 years and is still going strong, this is a great deal. They were easy to set up the delivery and pleasant. My bird is so happy with her cage and I am too. It is a 42x42 corner cage with 3/4” spacing. Perfect for a pionus. I filled it with a bunch of toys they had available and wish I did this sooner. I chlorhexed the cage down with chlorhexadine (bird safe cleaner) purchased off of Amazon and let the cage sit for a day before moving in toys. The food they sale there has NEVER been infiltrated with meal moths. I still freeze my toys just to make sure. I drive 1.5 hours here once every 3-4 months. It is...
Read moreOur daughters conure passed away unexpectedly several days ago. She was absolutely devastated so I started calling around trying to find another mint mutation green cheek. As most bird people know, the mint mutation can be very difficult to find. I had bought several larger birds from Everything Birds in the past when it was previously owned by Linda Sanchez but this was my first interaction with the new owners and I was incredibly pleased. I messaged the stores Facebook page after 10 PM asking if they had any available and obviously did not expect a response until the following morning when the store opened. To my surprise, I received a response almost immediately from Kiersten informing me that they did in fact have one mint mutation left. She agreed to hold the bird for me the following day until I could drive the 2 1/2 hours from my home to the store. The moment she got to the store that morning, she took my baby and put her on her shoulder to make sure she was well cared for until I could get there. She had her hatch certificate all ready to go when I arrived. I was thrilled to see the store still had the largest selection of cages and toys in all of Central Florida. I picked out some toys for each of my birds at a fraction of the cost of other stores. In addition to the toys being extremely fairly priced, I was stunned to learn the price of my new mint baby. The price was hundreds of dollars less than any other breeder or store had quoted me for the same mutation. Kiersten and her husband were both friendly and professional. I have owned birds for over 25 years and was pleasantly surprised by Kiersten‘s knowledge and competency in all aspects of avian ownership. Overall, it was one of my best experiences buying a companion parrot and the next time I am looking for an addition to our flock, Kiersten will be...
