The pho was decent but overpriced for the quality. Our experience was very poor as well. When we arrived and ordered, the young man at the counter was very nice and helpful.
My husband collects $2 bills and saw that they had some in the jar on their counter. He asked the young man if he could give him 2 $1 bills in exchange for the $2 bill. He didn’t mind at all and they exchanged them as discussed. Almost immediately, some woman came out from the kitchen clearly upset that the young man gave my husband the $2 bill. She was lecturing this poor guy in front of us and we honestly thought she was joking at first so my husband laughed it off. Not even a minute or 2 later, the same guy that took our order came over to our table and asked for the bill back because it was given to them from a customer so it was valuable to them. Of course we wound up giving it back to them. It was just a very odd and unprofessional way for the whole situation to be handled. We do not plan to go back as we do not feel that our service was appreciated or mattered to them at all. As a matter of fact my daughter spilled some of her soup on the table and rather than them even offering to give us a towel or anything they just walked away from us after seeing us wipe up the table with a bunch of napkins. We cleaned up our entire table by ourselves (which I don’t know if it’s their policy or not, we just aren’t slobs) and left. I highly doubt we’ll go back considering that we didn’t feel valued as...
Read moreA great fresh tasting poke bowl spot!
I took a bike ride to Oldsmar from Carrollwood so I was really hungry but wanted something light so I could continue my bike ride back to carrollwood! I love me a poke bowl and so I was excited to try this place.
I had the Poke salad bowl with 2 scoops of protein. With tip it came out to just under $15. Not excessively expensive but not cheap either.
Poke salad Bowl- I created my own with fried chicken & spicy tuna. It was topped with all the free vegetables, all the free toppings except cream cheese and wasabi and it was topped with their original spice sauce and wasabi mayo sauce. The original spice sauce was reminiscent of kimchi with a spiciness to it. The wasabi mayo wasn't overpowered with wasabi and nor was it as thick as you would expect a mayo to be- which is what I like, a looser sauce! The fried chicken is prepared when ordered so you have a freshly fried chicken! As for the picture tuna, I wasn't the biggest fan because I don't like minced tuna. I like bigger chunks- like they had the spicy salmon in bigger chunks. You taste the freshness better! The bowl itself was pretty...
Read moreI saw the 4.8 reviews on Google and figured we'd give it a try. Quite disappointed. I will say the ingredients are fresh, and most of the clients seem quite pleased with their meals. However...Our Taro Boba Tea was FLAVORLESS and the tapioca balls were mushy. I mentioned it to an older man behind the cash register and he said they were supposed to be that way. No, they are not. The table near us didn't like their boba tea either (different flavor); man got up and ordered an iced tea instead (and was not offered a refund). The Vegetarian Egg Rolls were MUSHY. My husband's tofu bun noodle bowl was tasteless. My beef noodle bowl was fine....the beef and other ingredients were fresh. The beef was flavorfully grilled, and mainly lean. The SAUCE for the Bun Bowls is marginal. For $30 I wish we would have gone elsewhere. But I must say it's good to see YOUNGER FOLKS eating more healthy food at a place like this. We are over 65 and I'm pretty...
