You are better off in a boat. I tried hiking the area and ran into thick mud, plenty of ATV tracks that did not lead to a hiking trail and didn't find a single blaze. Why four stars? This park & trail is awesome! I walk trail a few times a week & it’s so tranquil & a great place to get some really cool pictures! Sometimes the mosquitos are bad but that’s to be expected when you’re walking through nature down an off the beat trail that’s surrounded by water! It’s sooooo worth it tho!
