OMG is all I can think the entire time I was going through the course. Its was a mixture of "OMG I can't believe what I'm about to do" to "OMG I can't believe I did that!" "OMG look at this view!". Our team building adventure was one of the best I've ever been on. This team-building experience took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. It wasn't just a team-building day; it was a hilarious escapade led by Empower's dream team of engagement extraordinaires. These folks weren't just experienced; they were the Jedi Masters of patience. I never once felt like I was being rushed or that my fear-induced awkwardness would be broadcast worldwide. Nope, they were the Gandalfs of reassurance, boosting our spirits and cracking jokes that were so corny, they were on the cob – but hey, they worked like Harry Potter's magic. And can we talk about the view? Picture this: sunset over Tampa Bay, as if the universe itself pressed the 'spectacular' button. It was like witnessing Mother Nature's giving you a round of applause for being so brave and not giving up. And when I thought the adventure ended on the last zipline (I was sad because I wanted to keep going), they gathered us up for a couple of team exercises. It was so much fun and EMPOWERING! I truly felt Empowered after this experience and confident I can do anything (well, not jump of a plane, but anything else. No eat bugs either, but you know, calmer less dangerous things lol). My wife and I went to Empowered Adventure Park in Oldsmar to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and I have to say — the entire operation impressed me from start to finish.

Josh and Maddie were our guides, and they struck the perfect balance between keeping things fun and making sure everything ran smoothly. Josh stood out for how confident and skilled he was with the equipment. You could see the experience in how he handled the catches, checked the cables, and managed the gear. He made it look effortless.

Maddie was calm, attentive, and just easy to talk to. She made the launches feel safe and relaxed, and it was clear she was paying attention to the details — even catching that we were there for our anniversary without us having to say a word. That meant a lot.

After the main course, we added on the Leap of Faith. Honestly, we thought it might’ve been forgotten, but they didn’t miss a beat. Maddie even walked through the water with us to help get us there. Above and beyond.

Also, props to both of them for keeping us on point with the GoPro recordings — reminding us at just the right times to catch the best parts.
