We saw Jurassic Park in 4D last night, and while the movie itself was great, the overall theater experience was incredibly disappointing. For nearly $20 a ticket, youâd expect a well-kept and professional environmentâbut that was far from the case.
As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, it was clear the property is poorly maintained. The landscaping was severely overgrown and full of weeds. Outside the building, only one of the bollard lights worked, and one had been knocked over with exposed wiresâa safety hazard that, according to other reviews, has been left unaddressed. The photo is extremely blurry, thatâs my mistake but wanted to include it for reference.
Approaching the entrance, every door had arrows directing guests to the south end to buy tickets, but there were no instructions for those who had already purchased tickets online. We followed the signs to the ticket area, which was essentially a walled outdoor space in a poorly kept area. It was dirty and unwelcoming, with a sign instructing guests to go inside to the concession counter to purchase or scan tickets.
Once inside, the lobby was surprisingly clean and modern compared to the exterior, but no one asked to check our ticketsânor did we see anyone doing so for other guests. It seemed like you could easily walk into any theater without a ticket. This was confirmed once we approached the concession stand and bought popcorn. At no point did anyone ask about tickets.
Before the movie started, we used the bathroom near the lobby, which was in terrible condition. Half the lights were out, the floor was wet, toilets were visibly discolored and the overall cleanliness was disturbing. One of the hand dryers even had visible mold or slime inside (see attached photo).
When we got to our theater, we couldnât find any seat numbersâours or anyone elseâsâso we had to guess. Others around us said they had the same issue. The cupholders were sticky, as if no one had cleaned the seats between showings.
Although our seats functioned, others have noted broken seats. Thereâs points during the movie when water sprays directly at your face. After seeing the general lack of cleanliness throughout the theater, this honestly had me worried about getting an eye infection.
Later, I went to use the bathroom closer to our theater. The sinks were marked âout of order,â and every open stall was full of unflushed urine. The closed ones were locked, and the toilet I attempted to use wouldnât flush either. I ended up walking all the way back to the other side of the building to the original dirty lobby bathroom.
On top of that, the popcorn butter smelled rancid, and the windows at the front of the building looked like they were cleaned by a toddlerâstreaky and filthy. The drinking fountains in the hall had noticeable pink stains on the floor under them or trash cans catching dripping water.
Lastly, itâs disappointing that the company only seems to respond to positive reviews. That lack of accountability says a lot and is worth considering...
Read moreWe went to B&B theater in Omaha today. Bought tickets online. No problem. Guy at ticket counter was very friendly and welcoming. And that is the only positive this place has. We ordered a hotdog and mini corn dogs. Waited at the counter thinking it would only take 5 minutes or so, as the place was a ghost town. We waited 15 minutes and finally inquired about our food. We were told they were in the process of making. Wait another 5 minutes and a manager appears, so we ask him whatâs going on, as the girl that initially took our order was behind the machine eating. The other employee was a young male that appeared to not care. Extremely rude. Replies it only 50 more seconds. We were told that our buzzer would reach us in the theater. Who really wants to go to sit and then have to get back up and go back to the concession stand?!? We finally got our food. And no worries, the movie that was supposed to start at 1:10âŠ.well we were ok. Because when we walked into the room at 1:17, we were greeted by a blank screen and cold corn dogs. How does that even happen?!?!? No previews, screen just dead! We asked the couple behind us if the screen had been lit up at all and they replied no. Finally a kind woman went to inquire at 1:25 to see what was going on and said the staff was shocked it hadnât started. We finally got up at 1:33 and went to inquire about a refund. At the concession where this whole terrible experience started. The kid behind the counter was getting Chik-fila delivered via door dash but was quick to help this time. We will never patronize this theater again, which is unfortunate because it is very close to home. I understand being short staffed, but managements lack of response to the food said it all. The employees here do not care. We are patiently waiting for a refund for the tickets. Which we did receive. The manager did offer to refund us for the food, but we were just done. Corporate needs to do something...
Read moreUPDATE: Itâs been almost 2 weeks since contact with customer support. I was told weâd get courtesy movie tickets to try their theater again. That itâd be sent out in that upcoming weeks batch of mail (January 22nd-26th). We are a week tomorrow with still nothing in the mail from them. I have a very discerning feeling that this location just doesnât care to correct with how we were treated to begin with. I messaged the customer support representative that reached out to me that Iâd just prefer a refund at this point as we wonât be returning to this location. Thereâs a reason this location was dead on a Friday night. Thereâs no care from the employees and the experience is more than just fancy equipment. Respect and manners go a LONG way.
A little disappointed especially driving all the way out to this theater and it being our first time. We got into the movie about 15 minutes early and noticed one of the luxury chairs that are up front (theater 9 with 6 seats; Seat 3) was not working. My fiancĂ© went to go notify someone who told him âyou can just move seatsâ. He kindly declined as we had 4 of the 6 seats and wanted to not have a gap between our kids and us as to not interrupt anybody else coming into the theater as our kids like to come snuggle and then go back to their seats. They told him theyâd have someone get to it as soon as possible. The whole movie, nobody came⊠The movies started at 8 and at 9:11 there was a pretty big glitch in the movie which was a little agitating as it ruins the movie experience. It was dead. There was no reason someone couldnât have came to look at it. Just didnât care⊠Not very professional at all for a movie goers first experience. Appearance is better than Marcus Theaters but Marcus theaters actually takes care of you. Hopefully this place gets the hint for their competition with other movie theaters.
