I stopped investing a single penny in Supermercado for the simple fact that more often than not, freezer items and other items were sold with expired expiration and sold at retail price and aggressive employees when confronted about expiration and general management. Most recently we turned to Family Fare in hope that things were a bit different. (We are a hardworking family of 8). I'm beginning to suspect that this may be a neighborhood wide thing. Lost district. Several expired items were stocked in both stores. Few customers, poorly lit parking and beginning to feel like a ghost town when choosing a "neighborhood" grocer . Ive lived in the district for over 30 years and have never seen it this terrible to find a decent retailer.
Much to my dismay, I stayed loyal to the stores available, only to find yet another disappointment. I can only imagine what someone who may not have resources or knowledge of the idea and how many people are taken advantage of purchasing expired goods. Customer service is always great, generally well kept, well managed but very much sold short opposed to area markets. Funny, while serving the Midwest, both stores manage to sell themselves short in terms of product and quality vs retail price and a "Family " grocery. I'm better off with Walmart pick up. Kiss my average spending goodbye. Love,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to go to this location all the time, spend $200-$300 a week there on groceries. I bought a pack of spoiled chicken wings here and brought them back. The wings were sold out so I was told to come back in few days.
I go back on a Wednesday and ask for the credit owed to me to be applied to my purchase, and they refused. I then asked to speak with a manager. A manager came and she wanted to review camera footage to PROVE that I bought chicken to begin with....basically calling me a liar and a thief.
I don't need the actual words; it's insinuated.... I sat in the store 39 minutes while she looked for my purchase.
Mind you, it's $10 in chicken and I used to go in that store every 2 days and spend $70-$80 per visit.
I will never give them my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNo organic food around the store, the tiny bit they have is hiding in the far corner of the store with 9 X the amount of gluten free stuff in a space smaller than the tiniest studio apartment anywhere near this place. To top it all off, they don't even test their products before they buy them, or even (I believe) look at all their options. They compare themselves to Hy-Vee pricing, but they are sitting a weaker spot than Walmart, looking aw-so innocent, are they? Or are these people just straight brain dead? WAKE UP! You're killing everything that can die... Should we buy that these f*ckers are just so focused on competition? I don't believe that, but I do believe that some mother married 14 of her cousins. Did someone...
