Very bad experience, and their staff is highly unprofessional. Me and 5 other family members including 2 of my foster children went in here to do some shopping and drop off clothes. As soon as we got in they told us they don't take clothes at this time due to low staff. I said ok and went about my business. I ended up purchasing 3 pairs of shoes, including some high-top Nikes and vans for a great price... Here's where it gets interesting. We leave the store to go to the comic store nextdoor and make some small purchases only to come back to the same store and find them taking someone else clothes as they were on the counter. When I called them on the phone they claimed she had an appt to come in and drop off clothes. Never have I heard of platos requiring an appt to drop off clothes. Then my daughter went in a couple days later with a basket and they responded with were not taking winter clothes right now. She informed them that she only had one sweater in the whole basket. And they responded with "oh yeah I really didn't even look at the clothes anyways" -this was after a half hour of her waiting for them. So then the girl looks at the paper and says oh you have pajamas, we not taking those either. Listen Linda... Look through the basket, don't be a HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended NEVER to shop here. I have already told half of our sales floor AND SEVERAL DEVELOPERS our experiences and hope they get the chance not to shop here. Unfortunately, I was blessed with the ability to visit this fantastic store and experience the level of professionalism for them, so they don't have to go through the same pain I did. Honestly, I think there were OTHER reasons they gave me a hard time, but that's left to assumptions. If the teenager that greets you doesn't like you it's highly possible that they will not tell you your clothes or make any excuse to get you out of the building.
Hoping this in-depth review will help someone else that is similar in nature to myself when considering to spend money at...
Read moreWowzers! FIRST OFF, let me start by saying this place is nothing like what is was like 10 years ago. My experience from calling prior to my 1st initial selling experience has been nothing less than amazing. Kateynn ( Hope I spelled that right) was very informative over the phone so I had a little inside information prior to coming so I didnt wasteno ones time!. I strongly encourage everyone to call prior to get a good idea if they are busy or not. If your anything of a shopaholic then I'm sure your closet could use a little revamping. ADDIE helped me the following day and if I could buy anyone pizza, I would so choose him! (He would have to share with Katelynn) I typically have a hard time letting go of things but making a couple extra buck off unused clothing items is always a win. Keep in mind, this place is not the goodwill. They are very picky about the items they take. Looking around while I was there, I can honestly say all of their items are not just high quality but are in excellant shape. My favorite thing about Platos closet is if you choose to donate what they did not purchase from you, they donate to a h ok me less shelter instead of goodwill which usually consist of a bunch of snooty rich woman anyways. So your items are really going to people that need them. That is the one thing I wish I could change is getting a receipt for my donated items for tax purposes. I've now had the oppurtunity to work with a total of 5 of their employees first hand as that is how many times I have returned in a matter of 2 weeks. Thank you, ALL of you! See all you guys soon and thank you for an excellent customer service experience and changing my mind on Platos Closet! ( Yes I an a real customer, this is an honest review and I do not personally know any of the employees or their affliates outside of the Platos...
Read morealright I barely write reviews about places that piss me off but I have to write a reviews about this, early today my aunt took me and my younger sister to platos closet, when we get there the lady tells us the process and so we follow through, she tells us that it should only be a 1 hour wait and that they'll text us when our stuff is ready. So in the meantime we go out to eat, then we eventually get a text around 5 saying our stuff is ready. So we go to pick our stuff up and we get the counter or whatever and tell me why one of the employees hand us this paper saying that our clothes are heavily used, and not trending and not in fashion. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!?, IT TOOK ME 3 HOURS TO WASH THE CLOTHES AND MAKE SURE THERE WASNT ANY STAINS ON THE CLOTHES, AND MIND YOU HALF OF THE STUFF LIKE THE PANTS ARE BRANDNEW BUT I TOOK THE TAG OFF TO WASH THEM SO THEY WOULD SMELL CLEAN TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS. And mind you HALF OF THE CLOTHES WE GAVE THEM WERE NAMED BRAND CLOTHES. and ALOT of the pants cost around 100 dollars. And then they go on to tell us that they're KIDDIE CLOTHES?!, NO THEYRE NOT. IM SORRY CAN NO ONE BE SKINNY?! THEY DONT LOOK LIKE KIDDIE CLOTHES TO ME?. The staff were saying the clothes were small? like what?. I'm so confused how the condition of the clothes are bad when they're brand new and got previously washed. I hope you guys go out of business, staff is disrespectful. I will recommend half of the people from nebraska to never come here. This will be our first and last time here. Also if I could sue you guys I would but that's not possible but you guys have the next thing coming if you think that you can be disrespectful. (Note: and guess what? I also brought them 2 boxes of brand new...
