Scott Alaskan Adventure — Attraction in Omaha

We planned a trip for 9/2. I checked online to see if the Alaskan water area was open. Online it said it was open 10-4. When we walked into the zoo, there were no signs that said it was closed. That was the only reason we came to the zoo. Such a disappointment to get here and have my 6 year old be disappointed because she could not play in the water. I wish Omaha zoo did a better job of updating wether it was open or not, especially when the zoo is still in summer hours until September 30th. What a waste of money to not be able use the water when that was the only reason we came...

This is a splash playground with an Alaskan wildlife theme. Kids can choose to get wet or really wet. Tip: if you or your kids choose to change into or out of swimwear for this experience, skip the old, tiny bathrooms at nearby red barn park. There are quick change areas for kids on the perimeter of the Alaskan Adventure, or go around the corner to the new Adventure Trails area where there are large new restrooms, a large baby changing area, and...

this is a nice attraction for the kids. Also a nice way to beat the heat in the hot Nebraska summer with way too much humidity overall a super nice break in the day and I would recommend it to families. Make sure to bring a swimsuit for the kids. Pretty good attraction overall, no real complaints. Definitely an afternoon activity to give them more motivation to continue...
