I love this museum. Not only does it have a fantastic museum full of Ontario and Inland Empire history, including Route 66 memorabilia. You'll also find regularly rotating special exhibits. I've seen a few of them and so far I've enjoyed each of these exhibits. Some that stand out are the clown/circus exhibit and the industrial art exhibit of Millard and Tony Sheets. The museum is located on the grounds of the original city hall and the first park in the city of Ontario, Nugent's Park. The grounds have been completely redone to be water saving, but the lovely rose gardens are still intact and worth visiting for you rose lovers. Read moreOnly one room was open when I visited but it was free so I won't complain. It was small but had cute local history and some artifacts that were actually interesting to learn about. I didn't know there was a presidential wives wine, yet alone that Marilyn Monroe was on the bottle as one! Thank goodness the security guard pointed it out cause I actually almost walked right by without noticing. I also learned who won the rose bowl the year my father in law was born so I would say it was a good 45min little excursion during lunch. If I'm back around in the fall the guard said they should have a few more rooms remodeled so there's more to look forward to...

It was actually a good idea that we did because they had description of the plants they had and history on the water fountain. I didn't get a chance to see everything inside because i had my kids with me and frankly they were bored lol but it was nice from what i saw. Its free amd pretty small. Not many people go there.
