We were looking for a natural area to spend time with our kids and grill up some steaks. This place was a perfect fit for us. There were at least 3 grill locations with several playgrounds and some amazing natural areas. There is a beautiful covered bridge and lots of photo ops by the cascading creek under it. There are also several Nature trails. We opted to go to this park instead of Chewacla State Park because it was more convenient and had no entrance fee. It has everything and more, a lovely stream running through it, occasional train rides, old school metal slides high up for big kids as well as the newer plastic ones, lower for small kids, swings and baby swings.
There's a gazebo and a reservible pavilion. Every Tuesday night in the summer is the Summer Swing, with live music, free train rides, and burgers and dogs for sale. There are other events periodically. I've seen a petting zoo once.
