My first time visiting because I always make excuses not to stop. On my way home from work this Friday afternoon and I wanted ice cream but didn't want to go to Auburn. When I walked in, the two employees were so friendly and smiled the entire time. The ice cream looked great and tasted great. I was greedy because I got a waffle cone with three scoops of ice cream and two brownies. I'm eating the two brownies right now for breakfast. The cookies I saw were huge. I'm glad I stopped and this would not be my last time going.

This is a jewel in Opelika, a few minutes from Auburn. it’s a good place for handmade ice cream, love the flavors because are very original! Place have a very nice decoration, girls are so nice and someone’s speak in Spanish. You can buy some originals souvenirs. They are open all week until at night! This is a nice place to visit with friends and family, for big groups inside is to small, but outside are terrace! Totally recommended, specially if you are icecream lover!

O Town is a lovely ice cream shop in historic Opelika, AL. If you are looking for declious ice cream or even homemade chicken salad or pimento cheese sandwiches this is the place to go. The service is excellent as well. They even name their flavors after people and places in the Opelika and the Lee County community. Some of the names of the flavors are Chunky Monkey Park, Summer Swing Strawberry and Courthouse Coffee Crunch! Highly recommend.

I am very disappointed with the service my mother encountered on 3/17 . My mother went in to get a scoop of ice cream. When she got there, it was a couple that was sitting outside on the patio and it was a couple that just received there ice cream that was sitting inside. It was two young ladies behind the counters cleaning up. While my mother waited to be served, they ignored her and continued cleaning up. The two young ladies did not greet her into the store when she came in nor served her. While my mother was still standing there waiting to be served this was after 5 minutes of waiting ... the two young ladies began to put the tops on the ice cream and start putting it up in my mother face. I really do not understand why this happened to her. If it was after hours of operation they could have just mentioned it to my mother instead of ignoring her presence that’s just customer service . I understand they would not be able to lock the doors because of the couple that had just received there ice cream was sitting inside but it is just the simple fact that she was ignored and was not acknowledged. Very rude and disrespectful. Never thought this would happen at OTown. My family will never come back. After living here all my life, I really did not want to believe I was in Opelika, that was the...

I am just writing to inform you of some pretty terrible customer service I received on my first visit to otown. I ordered a Sunday, everything was fine, my wife ordered a chocolate shake, and a kids cone for my daughter. we sat down and my wife told me she didn't the think her milkshake was made right. as I was tasting it, I overheard someone order a milkshake and the girl behind the counter told the man they couldn't make them right now, it was around 7:00pm. so this sorta confirmed what my wife was saying. I took it to the counter and told the girl I don't think this is right. she told me it may taste weird because maybe the milk to ice cream ratio was wrong. she offered no solution. she didn't offer to remake it or was there something else she could get us. just kinda looked at me like I was wrong or out of place. I am a big fan of locally owned business and have talked this place up with my wife for quite some time before finally having an opportunity to stop in. I was very displeased with the customer service,I threw away the milkshake before gathering my child and hitting the door. it was a twenty dollar waste of my...

A very very good local ice cream shop. They serve a lunch menu as well. But we go for the waffle cone. They make the cones in store so they are always fresh and tasty. The ice cream tastes much less sugary than a well known multiple ice cream store in Auburn. Hard to write a review and not want to drive over and get my favorite Mega Mayor Chocolate cone. Most of the flavors are named after various aspects of Opelika and it's history. It's great that they are local and part of our home town. Also, they have a drive through. An excellent way to support Opelika. The store is just a few blocks from scenic downtown which is growing and growing thanks to businesses like this. Also if you take a walk through the residential historic district, not only will you enjoy the nice architecture of the old homes but be rewarded with this very well located store. Yes, I'm partial to it. :) It helped me weather this long epidemic.

Edit: Unfortunately, they seem to never have Mega Mayor Chocolate or a satisfactory chocolate flavor. Still, their ingredients are fresh and tasty and...
