I am not one to write a review, let alone a negative review; however, I felt inclined to post my experience in hopes of helping others avoid the interactions I had. After buying several of my appliances from Rix over the last few years, including my washer and dryer, I contacted them first when the heating element in my dryer went out. When I called, the person who answered was extremely rude, short, and inpatient. He took down minimal info and said he would contact me later in the day around 3pm. At 5pm, I didnāt hear anything so called the store again before they closed. Again the same person answered and it was obvious he didnāt remember any of the details of our previous call. He sighed and told me in an aggressive and annoyed tone to call him back in 5 minutes. I waited 10 min and called back, re-supplied my contact information and he said quite rudely that he āguessed heād have to try and come out after work.ā Given his tone, I told him that wasnāt necessary and offered to set up a time during normal business hours for him to come another day. He declined and again said heād try that evening but couldnāt give a guarantee or timeframe. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently purchased a GE electric stove from Ric which was delivered the end of September. I have not cook on it but a few times due to my busy schedule. However I noticed the oven light was not working. I called the store I November to report my problem. The man that answered asked for my name and number and said he would call me back. No return call came so I called a week later, he then said he would order the bulb and give me a call when it came in to the store. I waited another week and called today. The person that answered was Ric he said. I asked when was someone coming to install my bulb if itās in. He stated I could come get the bulb that had arrived. I told him I donāt know about installing the bulb and someone from his store should do this because it a new stove that was like this since I got the stove. He told me there were 15 people in from of him and a refrigerator that was not working was more important than a light bulb. I told him I am a customer also and he said it common still to install. I told him for about six years I have referred people to his store and you are going to speak to me this way. This tells me about my future dealings with him. He hung up on me then called back and said for that statement I will not be sending someone out and said you will need to come and get it yourself. I called back three times he will not answer. Ā Ā Ā Read morePurchased a dishwasher. The price was fair; same price at Home Depot. The install time was reasonable; 2 weeks. That is what get's them 2 stars though. Once my dishwasher was installed the hot water flow in my sink faucet came pretty much to a stop. I called the store and the person who installed it came back that day. He inspected the faucet and said he didn't know what was wrong with it but he would "get me a new faucet". I waited 2 months for them to call and then followed up myself. A man named Rick answered the phone and informed me that even if his installer told me that he would get me a new faucet, he was not going to allow him to. After about 5 minutes Rick speaking rudely, loudly and telling me to use common sense I disconnected the call. Rick immediately called me back and said he would come take a look at the faucet. Rick came and could not determine what the issue was but agreed with me that something was blocking the line. He called a plumber to come see if they could fix the issue. The plumber could not fix the issue and also agreed with me stating that it was probably a washer that went up the hot water line when the dishwasher install took place. Also, good luck getting them to answer the phone. I called 10 times and maybe spoke with someone 3 of those.
Long story short. Rix installed a dishwasher. During install a washer went up the hot water line to my faucet. Installer stated he would bring me a new faucet. Rick refused. I had to purchase a new faucet and...
