I recently had a very disappointing experience at Colorvision Pawn. I called ahead to inquire about pawning my Rainbow vacuum cleaner. After describing the item in detail, the employee I spoke with assured me that they could work with it, provided it was in good shape. Feeling confident based on our conversation, I made the trip to the store.
Upon arrival, however, the situation took a turn for the worse. The first question I was asked was about the power it uses, which is the standard 120 volts. I found this odd since it seemed irrelevant to the item's value or functionality, especially given that most household appliances use the same power specification.
The employee then consulted with the manager. Without even bothering to take a look at the vacuum cleaner I brought in, the manager curtly responded with a flat "nope, we don't take those." This abrupt dismissal was frustrating, especially after I had been led to believe otherwise over the phone.
The whole experience felt like a waste of time and a clear indication of poor communication and customer service. If they had no intention of considering my item, this could have been communicated during my initial call, saving me the inconvenience. I would caution others to get more concrete information before making the trip to...
Read moreA few months ago I was in the act of looking for a specific gun for the best price. Wasnât rushing to buy something, looked around and came here maybe twice within 2 weeks to check what they had. Second time I came in, I looked at a gun and politely said I was gonna keep looking around. On the way out the door I overheard the male employees at the pay counter talking about me and saying I never buy anything. I turned around and exchanged some words and told them I wasnât buying anything now for sure. They replied, âYou were never going to in the first place.â A few days later I paid $400 for a gun at a different pawn shop in Opelika. Never going here again. Stay AWAY! They will talk about you behind your back! No telling how they act or what they do when customers...

They told me they thought I was not foreigner but it is their obligation to make customers know everything they need to know. Maybe they do have a reason for additional charges, but it sucks to know the price is different when making payments feels like been deceived and played. I will never come again. Update: after I wrote this review the owner call me and promised he can give me $30 credit. well , I am busy and asked one of my friend redeem those credit. Finally they refused to full fill the promise and ask my friend go off. that's it, don't even...
