I have talked to a LOT of people in the United States...they don't know or have a clue that Alabama have one the most beautiful beaches in the GULF! Every-time, I cross the bridge from Pensacola, Florida and cross the Alabama State Line...it is breathtaking...I feel in paradise and NEVER want to leave. The beach is beautiful, the people are nice, restaurants with great food, places to visit and don't forget to visit the magnificent Gulf State Park! It is great for families...you can ride your bicycle, walk or run and many options. Orange Beach and Perdido have a lot of security, you will see Police driving around; the safety and wellbeing of the people is their first priority. I have been visiting the Gulf for over 10 years and had never experience anything negative. If you run or walk the long bridge, you can stop here at this pavilion, there is clean bathroom. Check the Website for the many amenities and festivals year around!

My favorite spot! I have been vacationing in Gulf Shores my entire life & I am 41 years old & just found this place yesterday & its so awesome! You have to go! Parking is $3/2hours & so on. They have 3 bridges you can choose from to walk over. The 1st one is the longest, 2nd is in middle & takes about 9 mins to walk(this is the one I took because I was told it was the best for shelling.) The 3rd (one to far right)is the shortest. The all lead to the same beach so you can take whichever you prefer but I am shell collector so personally I rather sp3nd more time walking along beach front & collecting shells. There is many rocks that have been placed but you can walk on them & take great pics. I did return the snails as they was alive but they was very neat to look at for a minute. The Pirate ship was cool to see & sunset was fantastic place to view it.

Seriously my favorite spot on the AL Gulf Coast. Such a breathtaking view, tons of shells and shallow water for the kiddos to play in when the seas are calm. Absolutely, hands down a must see of you're in the area. I was around 10 or 12 the first time I visited this place with my mom. The skyline has changed along the beach front, the bridge is larger and you now have to pay to park, but it's still as beautiful as it's ever been.

So sad. This used to be one of my favorite places to hang out. It was relatively peaceful and the beach was nice. I've lived here 15+ yrs and have witnessed our beaches being trashed year after year. Just keeps getting worse. The wife and I came down on the bike for an evening walk and we're horrified by the amount of trash. The cans are overflowing, the beach is a mess. Cans, cups, bottles, buckets you name it it's laying in the sand. If you come to the beach, leave only footprints y'all ! Why is that so hard to understand ? The city needs to step it up and take this issue seriously 😡. 4/20/21update. So...it seems the city has taken notice lately and huge improvements to the area. Much cleaner and the amenities are much nicer with active patrols by city crews and police. Definitely a good area to stop and watch the birds, boats, fishing, and a walk...
