Probably not bad overall, but definitely not ethical, which forces me to rate this place a 1 star. Went there specifically for steamed royal reds. Was served steamed Mississippi Brown shrimp. Big difference in appearance and taste. No way the staff doesn't know the difference especially since they offer Steamed Gulf Shrimp which is a common discription of Mississippi Brown shrimp. Server appeared to be ginuinely surprised by my objection to the switch in product, but might have just not known what to say about being caught serving a lesser cost item as a premium item. He said that he would speak with the manager and see what he would do. I expected the manager to discuss the issue and offer a resolution, possibly a reorder/replace with correct item. Instead the bill came at the end of meal with several items omitted from the bill without any explanation or interaction with the manager at all. Makes me think they just wanted me to quietly pay the bill and leave before any of their tourist customers found out that they were being defrauded. Portions are large, but that's easy to do when you are serving a cheaper product as a premium. I wonder if anyone else got the same reduction in their bill for being intentionally served the...
Read moreI must say that after having a memorable time at Fun Boats Dolphine Cruise 🛳 with Wounded Warrior Project. I hate to shout out to another business that is truly privately owned on another business's horrible review, but I think it should be done. After being out in the sun all day. My family and I decided to try some un-fried seafood. So while going into this restaurant we were greeted. Then told me service dogs 🐕 aren't welcome here. Even with my service dog's vest on, we were told by the manager we aren't welcome even after telling him. That if the general public can enter so can we, it is clearly stated in the ADA laws. I even called the police department of Gulf Shore Orange Beach Alabama. They just gave me a roundabout answer stating that they are privately owned, so they can refuse service to us. Let me be clear isn't Buc-ee's privately owned and even they know the ADA laws. You can't deny service to a person with a disability to where the general public has access. I just want to inform everyone on how this business operates and it's time to take legal action on them. I'm a disabled veteran who doesn't deserve that blatant...
Read moreSo...I want to start by raving about the food at this place! The food was AMAZING. The service was quick. The staff was friendly and efficient. The prices are super reasonable The reason I gave 3 stars is bc this place does not give two craps about the pandemic. They have signs on the door stating that we should stay 6 ft apart blah blah blah but inside, the tables are crammed as tightly as possible and all of the tables are in use. You are RIGHT on top of the table on either side of you. There is no enforcement of mask use either. The staff was talking to customers maskless and right in the customers face...less than a foot or two. People just wandering around like it's a typical year at the beach. It was alarming as someone who is taking this seriously and cares about other people's health and safety. So. If you are aware that there is a pandemic and want to keep yourself, your loved ones, and others safe, maybe try this place after major changes are made or after the pandemic passes. I would LOVE to visit again and eat the amazing food but I can't justify eating here with the way they are currently handling...
