This was my ideal spot for beach time during Labor Day 2020. It is away from the main road traffic and a little more sparsely populated. It's right by the canal for the boats so you can see folks fishing off the beach and from the boats and that's fun to watch. The wildlife is also amazing, I saw more sandpipers, pelicans, and seagulls here than anywhere else and you can see the fish silhouetted inside the individual waves - it's really neat to see! On my first visit, the water was calm and the swimming was pretty easy, even though there were signs for riptides and the flag was yellow. On my second visit, the water was way too rough and the dangerous wildlife flag was out. On another beach later that day, I saw a lot of beached jellyfish so that must have been the wildlife danger. Parking is free and plentiful, there is a bathroom and a couple of places to shower off outside and to wash your feet, plus there are some picnic tables near the parking lot. To get to the beach, you have to walk out one of 3 boardwalks out to the tip. There's a short path to the inlet, a longer boardwalk to the farthest point (my favorite) and a partial boardwalk/walk through the sand to more of the middle of the beach, which is a harder walk physically.

Absolute AMAZING place to go while on vacation at Gulf Shores/ Perdido & Orange Beach. The beach area is absolutely beautiful. My family and I stayed at Seacrest Inn and enjoyed every minute of it, which I highly recommend this Condominium .... and enjoyed the Beach right out the back of our condo.....but we were told about this Beach here only about 7 minutes drive from where we stayed, and IT WAS WORTH IT! very secluded, private, no one was there for the most part. If you do go here, the shells are bigger, and less "picked through" so it's great for shelling! First thing in morning and later in evening is best for this! From the parking area under the bridge, the beach is to your left after pier. It has a lifeguard. Great shells!!! There are beautiful huge rocks that the waves crash into and are great to take pictures off of!! Of course the waves there are great for body boarding and surfing! ..if you go to your right...under bridge, the fishing is great! All is mostly private, not like at the condos, where the beach is packed! I highly recommend a trip to this beach.... IT IS GREAT!

If you visit Alabama's beautiful Gulf Coast, Orange Beach; you must stop at Alabama Point! Paid parking on site, is about the only way to see the entire Point. To help with your trip to the Alabama Point; there is a very long boardwalk that will place you on the beautiful shoreline, with it's crystal, blue water, and amazing white sandy beach, along the breakwater which allows large water craft to enter and leave the ICW waterways. On your way to the Point, there are amazing flowers, wild vegaition, and small round petals known as sand dollars, growing on the landscape. A large bridge allows traffic to move freely across the park, and parking area. I believe the cost for parking is $3.00 per hr. There are outstanding views from the bridge, allowing both sides of the park, and the white sandy beaches.. Alabama Point is nestled under the bridge; defently worth the stop! It's right along the Alabama Costal Hey.
