The collection of artifacts and items from different places and times is impressive! A nice referbished 1910's church/school building turned museum in the 1950's, at roughly 750 sq ft., is unassuming from the outside, but the inside has a surprisingly robust collections of historically and culturally significant artifacts with some Native American items potentially being over 1,000 years old and other items that reach right up to modern day. There were plenty of informative cards next to most items. I did notice a somewhat disappointing lack of dating for some of the artifacts, but the information provided will likely satisfy curious minds. Big thanks to Eric for the casual guide through some of the history and info about the building and some items. Make sure to ask him about his historical family Bible that has been well preserved for...

This was a delightful little outing with my family. The picturesque schoolhouse contains a wonderfully eclectic collection of locally donated artifacts and items spanning from a 500 year old dugout canoe to a washboard donated in 1994 when a local resident finally purchased a washer. My children were assured that everything was interactive and “touchable”…. except the taxidermy otter…he might bite! We were welcomed by the docent who enthusiastically shared information with us and allowed my son to ring the school bell! After perusing the somewhat quirky and fun museum, we went directly across the parking lot to try our hand at horseshoes under the...

My friends and I visited this museum while on vacation in Orange Beach, and even though it is small, it is a very interesting place to stop. The young man who works there was extremely knowledgeable about every item in the place, and there were many "hands-on" displays, which I loved. The only thing that I could possibly take issue with is the name of the museum, as it is not strictly "Indian" and "Sea". There are so many other interesting items there, including textbooks and encyclopedias from the 1800s, antique typewriters and WWII memorabilia, just to name a few. This little place is a hidden gem, and I would highly recommend stopping by if you...

It was a brief but interesting stop! It is an educational attraction to fill 30-60 minutes, and it's FREE! The docent gave a short introductory and was available for any questions. The museum is in an original one room schoolhouse that has been relocated to the current situation and it includes local artifacts and memorabilia from prehistoric to recent times. It's a very eclectic mix of exhibits, so I think everyone is bound to find something that appeals to them.

We stopped in on a whim because it was something FREE to do on our trip here, and it was better than some paid museums we’ve visited! The guide Eric was very knowledgeable and willing to share info on all of the items in there from sea creatures & wildlife, to the schoolhouse & local history, to WW2 artifacts. If you really take the time to stop and look, there is a lot to see in this little schoolhouse ☺️
