Holiday Skate Center — Attraction in Orange

The absolute WORST establishment I’ve ever been to. This place is run by a bunch of kids with horrible attitudes and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. No seriously, I get better customer service at Taco Bell. From the moment we walked up to the place to the time we left, we were frustrated. The ladies at the counter was just finishing up with the family in front of us and was giving them an attitude because they had a lot of people they wanted to buy tickets for. So we buy our tickets for the session and are handed 2 tickets for the rental skates and we go inside. It was extremely crowded and maybe 1/4 of the people there were actually wearing masks. Even though they had signs saying “masks required” not even the employees were following this rule. So we go up to a counter where the rental skates are and no one is there. We look for signs to give us some direction and all we see is a bucket with the rental tickets in it and a sign telling us to put our ticket in the bucket. We wait around for some time looking for anyone who worked there, however it was hard to tell since the employees were wearing what looks like normal clothing. My friend thinks that maybe we’re supposed to just put the ticket in the bucket and grab our size, so he proceeds to grab his skates when a young girl in a half top and fishnets approaches him, as I’m watching this whole thing happen, and literally says in a very rude tone “who are you?!” To which he replies, “I’m a customer…” and then she replies “a customer?! Like you paid to get in here?!” And my friend who is autistic is struggling to tell her that he was just confused so I had to step in and explain to her that this is our first time and we’ve been standing here for about 10 min and no one has come to help. The ladies in the front didn’t even tell us what to do to get our skates so I asked her why she was yelling at him like that? I understand now that we were not supposed to be back there but that could have been handled way differently. It’s not like we were back there taking a bunch of skates or going against the rules on purpose, we honestly just didn’t know. And I will never forget the way that girl talked to my friend. This was the first and LAST time we will EVER step foot in there. There are other skating rinks and I’m sure their customer service isn’t this bad. I’m still in shock we paid $31 for that...

I attended the 7pm to 9:30pm skating session on Saturday night, July 6th. I was enjoying my time until I had to wash my hands to eat and saw that there was no soap in the dispenser. The dispenser was opened and waiting for a refill. I proceeded to the snack bar and asked if they had any soap and they looked at me as if I was speaking a foreign language and said no 😳😲 I was DONE!

A few staff members proceeded to look for some soap for about :15 minutes then the manager comes over and tells me that they found it and that the guy i spoke with was new and didn't know where to look.

I then proceeded to take my mom to the restroom and I was unable to get her wheelchair through the turn to the door on the way to the stall. She had to get out and walk to the stall suppor8by the wall. This was not good that the bathrooms were not handicap ready. I was very disappointed 😞 After my mom fished. She walked out to wash her hands. When she dispensed the soap, it was as if someone added water to the liquid to stretch the remaining soap from the pouch. It was nothing but bubbles that came out.

Needless to say, I WILL NOT be attending that skating rink anymore. I was disgusted.

Great place to skate was just a little crowded when we went due to several parties being booked at the same time. I went a second time on Sunday as well and it was crowded just like the previous week. One thing that bothered me was that I was charged two different prices for admission on both weekends. The first was$31and the second $29 I feel I may have been overcharged the first time but will not know unless I go again because none of the prices are displayed at the door that I could see. I saw other reviews in which people were also charged the $31 and the review reply stated that they could not find the persons admission record because $31does not add up to any of there pricing schemes. This is very concerning to me as we were planning on going back since my kid has taken up skating and the available skate parks are very few and far between. Had to remove 1 star out of concern for dishonesty with the young people...
