This is a small Vegan establishment. With many strange foods for the western palate. If you are brave enough to dare experiment you will try many exotic flavors. Me I am a coward trapped in just a few simple things. The first thing I had was because I recognized the name BLT, Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato. It Is fantastic and hard to believe it is not real bacon you are eating. Eventually I tried some of the dishes my wife ate but returned to my BLT until I chanced on the Spicy Cha Cha, wow what a change. You will swear you are eating a very tasty fried shrimp. It comes with a serving of white rice but you can change this for brown rice for a little extra cost. I am still stuck on this but any day now I will try one of their soup meals or who knows maybe even try one of their vegan hamburgers. This Loving Hut is on the west side of Tustin Avenue just south of Chapman. They are closed on Sundays but there is another Loving Hut in Garden Grove also worth a visit open on Sundays but closed on a...
Read moreI have been eating here for a long time. Chi has been fantastic, and the food has always been excellent.
Recently, I found out that they changed owners. I ordered DoorDash from them, like I usually do. My order was accepted, the driver went to the restaurant, and it had to be canceled at the last minute due to the fact that they were apparently closed. When I called, their recording was from several months ago, which obviously is unhelpful now.
I understand that there may be a time of transition where things don’t go smoothly, but it seems like a huge oversight that almost 2 weeks later, they still are listed as open and accepting orders on Door Dash.
This, and the fact that they no longer offer Spring Rolls (which was my go-to, and better than the Summer Rolls IMO), I’m almost afraid that things will change for the worse. Sad, since they were my only true healthy option...
Read moreI don't think that I truly appreciated this restaurant until I changed to a plant based diet. The first time I tried this restaurant, it was some time ago and I was not eating plant based fully. This time around, I realized the food is amazing. The chow mein was very tasty. The fried rice was also full of flavor. You don't even miss the meat. The fried tofu bits are a nice addition. The spicy cha Cha is also a must try. The soy 'shrimp' has a texture that is super close to the real thing. The taste is not bad and is a good mix with the stir fried veggies. Don't forget dessert. The cookies and pastries are very good. I bought some cookies and took them to go. Honestly no different from any other non-vegan cookies. The staff is friendly and provide plenty of utensils and napkins if you...
