I always had a good experience when I came here. That all changed on July 28, 2018, when I came to see Sailor Moon R & S (dubbed) but they showed Sailor Moon SuperS (dubbed) instead. I was able to get my money back, but the staff otherwise refused to fix the problem and so all the other patrons who came to see the same movie were left completely unaware that they were watching the wrong movie. The manager, Jeny C., kept insisting that Sailor Moon R & S was what was in their system (if that’s true, why wasn’t it showing on the actual screen?). THIS IS HOW YOU GET PROSECUTED FOR FRAUD! You would think that if one customer reported that the wrong movie was playing, the staff would take it seriously and fix the problem immediately. That’s not what happened in this case. They did nothing to assist the other patrons or get the right movie playing simply because it supposedly showed that the right movie was playing (unless they were just giving excuses not to help out because they’re more concerned about money than doing the right thing for their customers). I gave the manager several chances to make things right or at least offer refunds or readmission vouchers to the customers, and she refused and things got to the point where she ordered me to leave the venue if I was not going to see another movie. Now if I want to see a movie and the closest place I can see it at is this venue, I now think twice before buying tickets. Will update my review if a similar incident is taken more seriously in the future.
Edit: No negative incidents so far since the incident in my review, everything has gone positively in the years since then, hopefully the staff at least went through mandatory retraining since the incident. I come here all the time for Metropolitan Opera...
Read moreI love going to the movies and this was the first time I had been to this theater.
This place was DIRTY even by pre-Covid standards. When we got to our seats they were covered in popcorn and napkins from the previous show. There were still drinks in the cup holders. None of the chairs in the theater had been cleared let alone wiped down from previous people. The tape that is supposed to be reapplied to show that it had been cleaned was torn on all the seats, not just ours. I found an employee and told him the condition of the theater. He said he was sorry and would send someone in...no one ever came in. We decided to sit in the seats next to our assigned seats which meant we were sitting next to two other people.
There are signs all over the concessions area that state that all orders must be placed online due to the health department guideline (something to that effect). The line of those that pre-ordered was very long. However, there was a line next to it that was just letting people walk up and place orders. I wouldn’t care, but paired with the uncleared theaters I don’t think this place follows any safety protocols.
My sister and her husband had taken 4 kids to this theater about 3 weeks ago and they commented on how they knew none of the chairs had been cleaned. So I don’t think this is due to one bad night.
I hope that management looks into this! I’m happy to see places opening up, but it’s stuff like this that will get places shut down again. Like I said, the condition of the theater was poor even if there weren’t extra cleaning protocols due...
Read moreThis spot is my 2nd choice for local theatres only because the way the theatres are left after a show. It does seem to be getting better, as far as cleanliness. They’ve removed the eye sore food bar & replaced it with self serve drinks and it looks a thousand times better. They’ve added a moderate sized dining /bar area that looks so much cleaner & better than it did. That indoor facelift was much needed. I appreciate is there always a security on guard (who is actually paying attention & not on a cellphone distracted) which is comforting considering how busy this theatre gets.
The seats are recliners are in need of some upkeep as they’re losing their comfort /squishiness & a few no longer recline even. I’d not recommend sitting in the far back row. In my experience, this row usually has people who talk more throughout the show, have service animals (which I’m glad they are able to bring them). Just saying. If you want a less social movie experience, steer clear of that far back row. The bathrooms at all local theaters are in need of some tlc. The regular upkeep of them is important & this needs attention.
The Parking lot is very busy but well lit & spaces can be found. Overall this theatre is doing better than it was this time of year last year. Still room for improvement but...
