I wish I could leave 0 stars. I attended Orlando City vs Inter Miami on 09/12/20. Unfortunately it was an absolute disaster. There is no point in having the stadium open if proper security protocols are not in place to enforce social distancing. I was kicked out of the match for absolutely no reason. I was sitting in section 109 where the Inter Miami fans were located. At around minute 20, i had left my seat to use the bathroom. There were security blockades not allowing access to a bathroom. They did not allow anyone to leave the security line therefore you are stuck in the section promenade. After pleading with security to no avail, I had decided to go back to my seat. Of course, another blockade of security was set up blocking section 109 off completely. Many supporters including myself were stuck in the promenade not allowing to leave to another section, or gain access to the section where I had purchased tickets. I had shown my tickets to security, and they gave no valid reason for not allowing me access to my seats. As more people left the section to use the bathroom, buy concessions, ect. The promenade area became too full. My guess is that there were too many people stuck in the promenade that proper social distancing was not able to be enforced. Everyone that was stuck with nowhere to go ended up being escorted out of the stadium with no reason provided by security. My wife and children were left in the section while I was kicked out with no re-entry permitted. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. I will never attend another Orlando city match again. I will make sure everyone I know is aware of my ordeal, and I will exhaust all avenues available to make sure that this will hopefully never happen to anyone...
Read moreAttended my first game here with my best friend and family. We had an amazing time and it was my best friends first MLS game! He was blown away at how amazing the atmosphere and stadium felt. Being a New England Revolution fan I’ve attended many games at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts but this was my first true game I’ve seen at a soccer specific stadium. Everything was incredible from the tailgating until the moment you first step foot into the stadium.
I was taken back by how new the stadium felt. The modern look and facilities inside the were nothing short of what’s to be expected of one of the best new franchises in the MLS. Upon getting to our seats the field felt so close and at times it felt I could almost reach out and touch the players. The food, drinks and merchandise were all reasonably priced and the actual taste made my taste buds explode with excitement.
The beer was cold and the event staff was very friendly. The game itself was was won by The Revolution which made me happy but the fans in the stadium weren’t as thrilled with Orlando City putting up a goose egg. Exiting the stadium was easier than any stadium I’ve been to. Exiting the parking lots were equally as easy. Much better than trying to get out of Camping World Stadium right down the road. Overall my experience was a lot of fun.
I encourage anyone who has kids or has friends who may have never been to an MLS game to attend and Orlando City Game. They will certainly be back...
Read moreWe attended a 1:00pm game here on March 31st 2018. Based on Google and Trip Advisor reviews I purchased seats in section 112. We parked at the City of Orlando Jefferson street garage because we wanted to avoid road closures in the area. And possible break in from parking too close to the stadium. I prepaid the parking online and it cost $11. We got downtown about 2 and a 1/2 hours before game time. Church St. was closed and had tents with various food and merchandise vendors and there was entertainment too. While I had a sandwich size zip lock bag Vendors were giving away the clear bags with straps to take into the game. So I got one I would pay attention to OC website on clear bag policy and what you can bring into the stadium which isn't much. Going through security at Gate E was pretty fast and efficient. Check the website beforehand which gate you need to enter for your section. The staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy their job on game day. The seats are hard plastic but comfortable enough for the 90 minute game. The restrrooms were clean and the concessions line moves pretty quickly. An ice cold can of Heineken at your seat cost $10.50. Don't try to visit the supporters section unless you have a seat in that section. Armband is required to enter this section and you will be refused entrance if you don't have it. While the Orlando City Soccer Club team isn't very good, it was an enjoyable experience going to the stadium...
