The first year I lived here it was under different management and things were taken care of. Since avanath has taken over this property the gates been broken constantly and is broken again. I had an $800 package stolen that was left by Fedex on the counter in the mailroom that had a camera. The camera that was there the office said didnt work. And then they randomly took the camera taken down and decided to send a notice out saying it’s the holiday and to make sure carriers dont leave packages around. We cant even tell carriers that, because they have to attempt a delivery first and be on a redelivery to even leave a note at least with Fedex online manager. its not our fault you have non-working security cameras and then take the one in the mailroom down after I had this issue. Also they got rid of having a person accept packages and put a locker box when they took over the place. It’s not our faults the carriers don't use the locker boxes. I was on a cruise, when it was delivered and it was left unsecured in the mailroom and the office did nothing but make excuses and tell me to file a police report. I can go on/on about this. Here is another example of how this place is run. Last year we were told the pool would be resurfaced and ready in June, why was this not done during winter? To top it off it wasn't ready in june, it was like this past october or so when it was finished. They hired a bunch of hack painters to do the garages and they have been repainting for over a year the garage. They hired a towing company to tow vehicles from the garage and started allowing people to park for events. All these things are greed to put more money in their pockets. The communication is poor here, for example one time they sent out a notice saying don't park on lvl 4 and park on 5 or above. So people moved their cars to lvl 5 or above and the tow company was moving cars to other levels from lvl 5 so they could paint and also damaged peoples cars. When we were told to park on 5 or above via email and yet they still towed peoples cars off the level they stated to park on. Halftime you try to use the amenities such as the pool hall and you can't because sticks are not there or are broken. The fire alarm goes off at all hours in this building multiple times late at night. Vanessa the property manager does not care when you try to address any of these issue with her she raises her voice and is rude. She sees it her way or the highway Some of the other staff is okay, but Gladys can also be rude about stuff when you have concern or issue. Try calling Avanath Corporate office and no one returns your call. I decide to write this review off of all my experience in this place and after this last issue I just dealt with was my breaking point. Last night my car was towed by airport towing who the complex hired because they make money doing so off removing cars. I park my car almost against a concrete wall and back in with my car so the drivers side is by the wall. It is very hard as a man to get out when parking that way, so I park a little bit away from the wall so I can open the door and get out. It is doubled parked, but not on purpose as you can see my issue above. Vanessas response this morning was you can park in other spots. I wanted to park there and have for 3 years, I just needed room to open my driver door. she was rude and kept raising her voice with me this morning. The security was even there and saw how she acted with me. I simply asked them to call the towing company who said they could the $135 fee removed. + Uber $25 cost me a total of $160 from them towing my car since I needed room to be able to get out of my driver door since i back into that spot and the wall is right there. She refused to do so and was nasty to me. This garage isn't even full and I see countless other cars parked on floors they shouldnt be and they dont get removed. I had my apartment hangtag on my car. Its greed with them and not caring about the residents or fixing stuff. Again,...

Read moreLived here about a year ago, Just looked back and realized they deleted my review from last year, so I figured I’d be a Good Samaritan and re-upload it since I am a man of the people! City view should change their name to poverty view or roach view because this place is a DUMP. I lived at city view for about 3 years and it was a decent place to live, until Avanath took over. I had a leak coming from my ceiling that I had been telling the office about for weeks. The ceiling was turning brown from water damage coming from a leak upstairs. Maintenance came in and SPRAY PAINTED MY CEILING WHITE to cover up the damage. A few days later my ceiling collapsed and I had to spend hours cleaning up all my clothes in the laundry room. When I moved out of my apartment, I had accidentally sent a package to my old apartment at city view. I tried calling and emailing but they didn't answer me for weeks even though they had my forwarding address and all my information. When I showed up with proof that my package was delivered they said that there was nothing they could do and they did not have it. Not only is the staff irresponsible, but the residents they allow to live there are scum's that will steal your stuff. The building is also infested with roaches. I had a roach problem for as long as I had been there and kept my apartment clean. As if all this wasn't already bad enough, the homeless coalition is right up the street from city view on terry so you got swarms of people around the area constantly harassing you. The elevator is constantly broken so sometimes my mom who is in a wheelchair can’t come upstairs to see me. They also don’t clean out the trash as often as they should so there’s usually huge mounds of garbage in the trash chute room and on the side in the garage. Seems like their front gates are always broken, the remote gate opener never works even though I paid an extra $20 for it, and they also use the first 3 floors as event parking for the Amway center, so sometimes you’ll be waiting 30 minutes to an hour just to leave or get into your apartment. City view might be a little more affordable than other apartments in the downtown area but believe me it's not worth it to save a couple hundred bucks and have to put up with them. Also please don’t delete my review again city view, because I will just keep reposting it....
